It studies the variations in humans, their behavioural differences, their virtues and vices, crimes, interests. A true astrologer should be very observative and open-minded. My atheism provoked such outbursts that this group seems to be devoted to philosophy and religious studies and not astrology. What would have happened if I had taken up topics like abortion, rape and incest. We should not forget all kinds of problems are dealt with in astrology and all aspects of human personality studied, we like them or not is irrelevent. Astrologer cannot be prejudiced. We should maintain purity of analytical astrology. For a change: Palmistry is one of predictive sciences and is very popular too. But, not much is known about meanings of different shapes of fingerprints. Usually, they are either in loops(shankh) or spirals(chakra) formations. It is belived that all ten loops make one a Yogi and all ten chakras a King. but, what is the result of mixed fingerprints? And what excatly we mean by Yogi and King. I have the privilege to be the first to reply to it. Your ideas are very radical. They shake people out of monotony and make them think. Topics like abortion, rape, incest, homosexuality, impotence, etc. are being studied by many astrologers including me. The victims of rape need consolation and hope for future. Astrology is a big help for them. One of my friend is doing research on astrology in sexual disorders. About your fingerprints- A yogi is a person who is satisfied with whatever he has. He will lack ambition to increase wealth or power. He is more prone to use his mental skills than materialistic wealth to clear obstacles in life. A king is one who desires for and strives for almost everything. Power, fame, wealth, love and affection, attention, etc. If a yogi is not paid attention to he can still be calm and happy, but a king cannot. You have loops in all ten fingers. You are yogi by behaviour. A potential to pursue spiritual knowledge and to be a true yogi is there in you. This also matches with your horoscope. But, materialistically, you cannot make much progress all by yourself. You are a professional astrologer, as you said. But I don't know whether you are able to ask for fees or not. The same qualities being there in your wife, you should hire a manager to look after your financial affairs and to sell your astrological skills properly. You haven't given your wife's birth data. I have been getting mails from Delhi : " that a pair of female ghosts have escaped from Mehendipur Balaji hanuman temple in Rajasthan and they are terrorising Delhites. Their modus operandi is to knock on the door and ask for a roti (chapati) and an onion. They then smash the onion and someone dies in that home. The only prevention is to dip both palms in turmeric or red colour and make their imprint outside the front door or wall." Such rumours keep floating from time to time. I remember that this exact rumour was in air about twenty one years ago also when I was in school in Ajmer. They were baseless then as these present ones are now. "The ninety percent ignorant people" theory stands true here as very educated and well off people are contacting me to ask for solutions to this potential calamity. To my knowledge, mercury and jupiter in first-seventh combination and sign-interchange between them has given rise to this rumour. Jupiter, karak of religion and mercury, karak of information and news are aspecting each other with mercury in debiliation, again indicating false rumours and illogical mindset of the people. But, mars being exalted, the rumours should die out very soon. There is very fine gap between spirituality and madness, religion and paranoia and belief and fanaticism. The 19th september 1995 rumours of Ganesha Idols drinking milk prove the above fact. Lets use astrology as a tool to increase awareness and dispel superstitions.
