I think the person is quite intelligent. and good at education . It is not in debilitation (nicha). in youth 15 degrees. Moon is dwadasi of waxing moon 28 degrees. His parents told he has been just above average in school. 65% to 70% marks, if that is any indication. Not any brilliant in academic studies. Regarding his eyes the query is when will his power stabilise, as it is progressing at the rate of -1 every year, and doctors say it will stabilise when he grows up. They have dilated and checked every thinkg else and declared nothing else is wrong other than myopia. How would the combust planets in 9 afflict this boy. There is no Saturn Maha Dasa until late into old age, so we can expect Saturn to be beneficial during antardasas, but the Maha Dasa Planets are combust? It occupies 8th house from 2nd under severe affliction from both Sun & Mars and is combust. Also Venus happens to be significator of 2nd house. Two fiery planets have almost dried the watery Venus. Also debilitated nodes have a lot of say in this matter whose dispositor Venus is very weak. Since Moon lagna is also Aries, the situation is a difficult one since the same planet Venus represents eyes from Moon as well. If my assumption is right the problem may be related to the watery fluid in the eye. May be that vein is hampered/blocked somewhere. Saturn being significator of longevity indicates good age since it occupies own sign. Mars the 8th lord in trine also represents the same i.e. good life span. Jupiter aspecting the ascendant also destroys malefic effects of the chart but Saturn may create some troubles-but Jupiter's positive aspect controls Saturn again. This child seems to be a very intuitive one. Scorpio being the natal 8th house being aspected by Saturn and Mars (8th lord). For Sun & Mars, one should offer Arghya to Sun in the morning and read Hanuman Chalisa regularly. I sincerely thank you for your kind respect in calling my name but I think I need some more time to be called in such a way. I am not yet thoroughly learned - I request you to kindly call me Prakash. I saw the chart again and found that all the four planets in the 9th are placed in Moola nakshatra and certainly the combustion rule applies to all the planets. How do you logically think that Venus will escape Sun's heat? When even Mercury is said to afflicted by its combustion? But since Mercury is almost always under such Sun's affliction therefore the effects are not that severe. In navamansa, Mars is debilitated in the 12th house signifies loss of vision in left eye but may be partially. Moon its despositor is 6th from 12th house. Rahu occupies 2nd house there AND the lord is good in Taurus in 10th house with own house Venus this indicates good result. I dont think complete loss can be indicated. Moola nakshatra is lorded by Ketu which happens to be debilitated and occupies 8th house in navamansa. So dont you think it will cause some sort of problems? The combust rule applies within certain degrees and not within the same nakshatra pada. The reasoning that I have given earlier that the 8th position of 2nd lord (as per bhavat bhavam) both from ascendant and also from Moon without any benefic aspects is certainly a problem. That again under the fiery effects of Mars & Sun which should dry Venus. I have got the said Rahu in my 5th house in scorpio and I had two breaks in education during graduation. Rahu behaves like Saturn and Ketu behaves like Mars - in Scorpio and Taurus both become weak by their occupation then how can they become benefic as such? I dont even know about the food habits etc? Yes, 4 planets in the dharma bhava will make the native interested in religion when the lord of 9th is in 7th i.e. 11th from 9th. This also gives ascetic life. Further the Moon is the atmakaraka of the native and occupies the 5th house in navamansa that indicates dharma as per jaimini sutras. Moon is aspected by Sun the sthira karaka for one's atma. Also, Sun as 5th lord occupies 9th house with lagna lord that is a good yoga for dharma. I see, that he can get into astrology and with God's grace he will be successful too. The native can practice "Trataka" and also should walk bare footed on grass in the early morning also should eat lots of green vegetables. Look forward to have your views. Rahu and Ketu are stationery/slightly in forward motion so ar unusually benefic. 2. Venus and Jupiter are in mutual reception enhancing one another's energies 3. Venus is winning war with Mercury. 4. Is it normally agreed that the planetary combustion effects are effective when they are in the same naksatra pada with the Sun? After that the effects are not severe? 5. In the Navamsa Venus in the own sign Taurus, should help a bit? 6. Doctors have checked everything in the best hospital here, dilating his eyes etc,. and they say nothing else is wrong internally except that he has to wear glasses and the power stabilise as he grows into adulthood. 7. This boy everyday chants 16malas (each mala 108 beads) of Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. One of the recent Ekadasi day he chanted a marathon 120 malas.(12 hours 9-00 Am to 9-00 PM). Not for his health or anything but he just likes it, and he is chanting since 4 years old about 1 or 2 malas then and encreased every year 2 malas currently does 16 a day. He also chants Dasavatara Mantras everyday as they are the adhipatis for all the planets as per BPHS. He is a Big reader of books and completed Sri Caitanya Caritamrita, Krishna Book (10th canto of Srimad Bhagavatam) 3 times, Sri Caitanya Bhagavata, etc,. by the age of 11. He speaks Caitanya Carita and Krishna's Carita eloquently. He is following ekadasi vrata (fasting from grains) from 3 years age. However in academic subjects he is just above average at around 70% marks. As he is Krittika Naksatra and you say he has intuition is he suitable for astrology? Can other venerable astrologers see more with respect to the health of his eyes, as the parents are worried, as they have read that progressive myopia in some cases leads to blindness. My understanding is, pada means quanter and there are 4 quarters or padas in each naksatra. Yes, all 4 planets are in Mula Naksatra. But Sun is in 3rd pada (quarter), and all the other 3 planets are not in 3rd quarter. Mars is in 4th pada, Mercury is in 2nd pada and Venus is in 2nd pada. So combustion is there, but not too severe as it would be in the same pada(quarter) of the naksatra. Also good *placement* that is in 9th house is important consideration. If it happened in dusthana is another thing. Mars Mercury Venus are in friendly sign another important consideration. The boy is cent per cent vegetarian, actually prasadam-tarian. That is he eats only sanctified food offered to Lord Krishna/Vishnu. He does not eat even vegetarian food which is not sanctified, that food which has not been offered to God. Never eats in any hotel/restaurant except home and temples. 4 planets in trine in 9th, two in kendra Moon in asc and Jupiter right opposite in the 7th, and the seventh planet that is Saturn in 11 in own house gives more +ses than -ses, as you said, the boy is very dharmic.
