Dear Juliana, namaste

 

It appears that we have uncovered a wealth of knowledge relating to

dream interpretation from Sanjay and Ashutosh. They have provided us

new insights to the effects of the grahas in our dream consciousness.

 

Your points relating to the dream, however, are more psychological in

nature. These provide another facet of interpreting dreams in my

opinion. Let me comment on the points you made as shown below:

 

1. I am not sure that your recent dream represents a

> premonition about tax reductions or anything else, but

> possibly it does. Maybe it has something to do with

> some of these predictions circulating around that say

> GWB will be leaving the planet soon.

 

Comment: Using Sanjay's theory of dream interpretation, I realized

that the characters in the dream represent the planets in my natal

chart and the planets transiting certain houses of the chart. Since

I am now running the period of Saturn/Jupiter/Sun, the following

characters are playing out the following grahas:

 

a. The Older Bush represents Saturn in Virgo

b. George W. represents the Sun in Cancer, the lagna

c. Laura Bush represents the Moon, lord of Cancer

d. The Senator, the transiting Jupiter in Virgo.

 

The idea of tax reduction appears to come from the aspect of natal

Jupiter in Pisces to the natal Saturn in Virgo. Since Jupiter is a

guru and tax expert being in the 9th house, we have the Older Bush

talking about the "slurp" tax.

 

2. To dream of a celebrated person like the US President

> may reflect something personal going on in your waking

> life that is tied into the archetypal role he fulfills

> for society. For example, and this is a long shot, but

> have you been put into a leadership position lately?

> The Pres. obviously signifies the leader archetype.

 

Comment: From psychological point of view, I do feel like someone in

a leadership position since retiring from the federal government. I

feel that I am determining my goals and pursuing them without being

manipulated by the work environment, such as the supervisors and the

instituion. Hence, we have George W in the dream.

3. The bike ride may have something to do with two very

> different cycles within your own life. Did you work

> for the US Government in some capacity, until your

> recent retirement? The bucolic bike path may represent

> this new cycle of retirement as opposed to the

> government or bureaucratic work that you did

> previously.

 

Comment: I was an auditor for the federal government but had no

direct dealings with the president. However, my big boss in

Washington DC had access to the White House.

 

The bike ride recommendation to George W appears to be my own way of

saying that he could have taken a better way of running the

government, considering the problems we have in Iraq.

 

It is also interesting to note that the natal Sun (represented by

George W) is in Cancer, a watery constellation. Hence, we have the

scenic route by the lake.

 

4. To dream about a reduction in personal taxes may

> signify that you will succeed in your endeavors and

> perhaps will enjoy a windfall. Isn't a "slurp tax" a

> tax on a car? So here you have two images of vehicles

> of transport...are you buying a new car? Anything

> going on with your 4th house or Venus in your chart?

 

Comment: I've covered the tax part as explained above. In the

dream, I was actually impressed that the Older Bush was so meticulous

in observing these things, given the fact that he has the wealth to

hire his own accountants to do this work. It appears that the Older

Bush is fulfilling Saturn's role as a worker in this scenario.

 

I am not contemplating of buying a new car presently. But I believe

my fourth house and its lord Venus (vargottama) is fairly strong in

the chart. According to Jyotishi Sumeet Chugh, the conjunction of

Venus (lord of the 11th and 4th) and Ketu is good for wealth. For

this reason, I am pursuing a second career in real estate. We will

see how this feature in the chart unfolds as time goes on.

 

5. Re: the part where someone says he wishes these

Comment: Yes, I read the local newspaper almost everyday and try to

keep abreast with world, national and local events. However, it is

interesting to note that transiting Jupiter in Virgo is in the 7th

house from the 9th house (the field of dreams per Sanjay). This

accounts for the senator (Jupiter) being in a hurry, perhaps to meet

his appoinment in Libra. (very amusing play here)

 

We can further see the role of the Older Bush as Saturn. Thus, he

makes the comment of slowing down.

 

In conclusion, this subject of dream interpretation has been

wonderful and enlightening. This exercise has made me believe that

jyotish and the messages from the Vedas are showing us that the world

and dreams are part of our own consciousness. We should all learn
