State of the Onion

The Onion has many layers, like life. The more we peel off, the more we find

below in support of what we thought was the onion. Like holy onion peelers, we

travel deeper and deeper into the supporting layers of reality, finding more

fundamental truths, and wider visions, wider in time, conception, openness,

spaciousness.

As a young boy I thought I shall be a priest, to help the sad world. As a teen I

thought it was a Rock Star. As a 20’s it was being a Hare Krishna devotee,

and in my 30’s I just tried to survive marital life and raising kids and

businesses, and in 92 these came together- programming, I had taught myself,

astrology I hat taught myself, glued together by my knowledge of Hinduism from

years of reading the main Puranas, Gita, Mahabharat, Ramayan, and listening to

thousands of lectures by others doing the same, year after year, combined with

living the Hindu life at home.

So now there’s a popular Japanese website, where in Japanese they are

getting their charts and readings, online, and on cell phones, from

calculations compiled by NASA, readings by Rishis and Sages and modern devotees

of the science, with programming made of code made by countless programmers,

layer upon layer, up to me, up to the folks in Japan.

All over the world people are using the software. It’s been on the back of

one very major selling book. It’s going onto the back of something else

that will be quite major, in all book stores etc.

Everyday a couple new people join this list. That adds up. Everyday, I get

these messages, telling me someone joined, and they come very regularly, a

number of them each day, and the addresses often speak of words related to

“the search” for truth and meaning, and connection to the East of

course, many Sanskrit words and Indian names.

We’re gathering. That’s the state of the Onion. We’re in a

gathering layer.

And who are we? People interested in Jyotish of course! But what does that mean?

It means people who are willing to believe that there might be something

underneath the surface of life, related to the universal forces, that is

affecting our lives, perhaps directing them, or telling us how to know who we

are as we emerged at a certain place, at a certain universal moment, and nobody

else did, not right there and then, so we are unique, and our charts tell us of

ourselves as the “flower of that universal moment and place”, and

it can be read as such.

We are flowers- combination of spirit and matter, and flowering we are,

according to our dashas, which are the onion of our charts- slowly peeling away

at a specified rate and order, one planet after another taking a turn at the

helm of the ship of our lives.

We are stardust, we are golden. These words are true. Gold, yellow, is related

to Jupiter, who is the master significator of children. He would bathe all his

children in his golden light. Life with that father is life inside a yellow

sapphire, protective and helpful and life giving golden light everywhere. And

our lives are directed by the stars. The signs in the zodiac set fundamental

aspects of our lives, to such a degree, that you could truthfully say, that we

are star related, and perhaps poetically, “stardust”, and actually,

you’d really quite truly be exactly right on the truth, right on the honey

money, right on the facts, because our destiny shall be, it shall dominate, and

it is read in the chart, so we’re talking yeah, star born, we are, uh

huh, fer sure.

And moving right along...

>From our own lives we can see that order is sign of intelligence, or awareness

with plan and energy and effort, to order things in a favorable way to

ourselves. So if there were no creator type entity, the likelihood of real

chaos would be higher by logic, and conversely if there were an intelligence we

would expect the presence of order, though the reason for that order would quite

likely be out of our reach and or understanding.

And indeed, we find order, not chaos. We find order in correspondence with

large planets in our universe and in all things smaller as well, and all

together in unison, thus one can be read to know the other. And that is

astrology. Read the skies to know the flower. See the skies, in everything. For

we have found who have studied it, that every flower, is possible in these skies

above us, around us, filled with energetic suns, stars, explosions, comets and

planets all fabulous and countless and bright.

Starlight, Starbright

Countless stars in galactic night

I wish I might always feel loved

I have no fear, with you so near

The all powerful sky

Will swallow me one day

The sky above our heads

Will swallow you one day

In sky above our heads

Float all the gods supreme

They make our destiny

The plan for you and me

We live in sky on planet earth

A tiny speck of watery dirt

That spins an orbit in an open place

Thats filled with planets stars and space

Just one of billions of specks of dust

That orbit there burning until they are bust

And all things on them, burnt red as rust,

As they explode from heat into fine dust

So truth is there when it swallows I say

And surely it will swallow both us some day

That universal place which is really our home

Wherein great earth floats, and hardly alone

So now how do you feel about astrology?

When you know the sky eats us does not let us flee

Will you then join the haters, the ignorers and alike

Or accept this great wonder that governs our life

And so, we walked down the road, the both of us, until we arrived at a happy

place, where good things happened, one after another.

Wherever there is consciousness

There will be the ability and will

To pursue greater happiness

As well as the ability to accept truth

And withdraw into the role of pure observer

While allowing the body to remain in pure action

This kind of detached viewing worker is much less likely

To feel pain, this is due to the nature of the combination of

Observing in detachment, while remaining doing normal duties

Thus seeing the temporary body, as separate from the seer

The seer can remain a separate feeling entity moreso

It is a quieter space, because it is watching

You don’t see things as coming from yourself

But simply arising out of your karma as a certain body

So you do them, those duties

But you are the witness inside, a spark of consciousness

A person, an awareness, not exactly the same as the body

But this body is built around your conception of your current position

As your spirit and awareness thus evolve, so will your bodily engagements

This makes sense, but like God, cannot be proven. It’s one theory.

The trick: Do the most you can...in any field or folly that motivates you...it

isn’t good or necessary to hold back. Rather, it seems much better to

let go and do. To try. To live. For we definitely shall die, but it is not

definite that we shall live fully, so if you can do something...do it. If you

can be great...do it. If you can go FURTHER, then do it. If you can be

better, then DO IT. For it is truly a luxury, a gift, to be given anything.

For all things we must be grateful and try to use them. Try to be beautiful,

fantastic, solid, good, teaching, learning, loving, and bestowing, and glowing,

crying, lastly, dieing.

Stardust, golden, the food of the heavens at last, come from there, return to

there, that space, the big thing, that forever place, that aligns with our

lives perfectly, in which we are hung, rotating, returning, spinning.
