Guest guest
Hi Juliana, You've got my interest piqued when you stated about "reptilian" origins. Are you saying that the advanced beings that visited Earth, as narrated by Sitchin, were reptiles? I'll have to read the books more carefully if this was the case. Sitchin appears to say that these alien visitors were considered angelic beings as described in the Bible when these beings intermarried with the 'daugthers of men'. Nonetheless, the point I'm trying to mold in the development of culture is that culture originates from the tribal consciousness of any peoples in the world. As such, in the realm of consciousness, we are subjected by the various impulses of intelligence as signified by the grahas in vedic literature. From this realm, we manifest this consciousness into concrete terms as shown in the cultural practices, science, art and literature. The quality of a culture depends on whether the people's consciousness realizes the limitation of these influences from the grahas. I believe Utopia can be realized if the people's consciousness rises above the baseline level, such as waking, sleeping and dreaming. Based on the world events, it is doubtful that any country or culture has risen above the baseline consciousness, even though some countries like the USA have attained much material benefits. One may ask where are the grahas now? We can say that they are us! Regards, John R. PS Even today, the culture of Rahu appears to be on the rise as evidenced by the various ideologues in the world, including those who commit suicide bombings against innocent civilians. valist, "Juliana Swanson" <omhamsa> wrote: > Hi John, > > I find your musings fascinating about a culture of Rahu in distant > Meso-American history, which would explain the evidence of warring and > human sacrifice that took place during certain periods. Guest guest
Hey John, Namaste, I am sorry I threw that reptile word in like that! It has been a long time since I read the _Earth Chronicles_ and I do not recall anywhere that Zechariah Sitchin says directly that our ET ancestors were reptiles. I have read other accounts by mostly "New Age" authors who tell of a mysterious race of advanced, super-human, winged serpents who descended from the heavens hundreds of thousands of years ago from a "12th planet," and I think these accounts have been watered down with some of Sitchin's ideas. As you may recall, Sitchin's translations tell of the super-human Annunaki using advanced technologies of genetic engineering to manipulate the human race. I am not sure anyone knows for sure what the Annunaki/Nibirians/Elohim/Nefilim looked like. Perhaps they are described somewhere by Sitchin. If anyone knows, I would love to know. You might be interested to know, however, that in Sitchin's book _Divine Encounters_, a frequent Sumerian symbol for Enki, the "chief genetic engineer" and Sumerian "high god," was that of a serpent. There are winged gods and goddesses flying all over _Stairway to Heaven, and in one chapter, Ba'al and Anat actually battle serpents and dragons. In some accounts, there are correlations drawn between the double helix (DNA) and the serpent emblem of Enki. I believe that we might infer from some of the stories that these so- called "god-like" beings had the ability to shape shift. I don't know though...as I said, it has been a long time and I am certainly no expert. There are many conspiracy stories told by contemporary UFO investigators about a race of ET reptiles who even today exercise mind-control and perform medical procedures on their victims. I probably shouldn't have mentioned it at all, because it is such a convoluted, outrageous theory. Nonetheless, being a double Aquarius, I just love "science fiction" conspiracy theories. Best regards, Juliana
Guest guest
Hi Juliana, Thanks for the clarification. I'm impressed with your memory of the details in Sitchin's books. I used to be a science fiction fan until I found jyotish! There's just so much learning with jyotish. I just can't keep up with the rest of my other reading interests.
