You are only reporting his initial reaction to the idea. Devotional service is voluntary, based on love. If Srila Prabhupada had NEVER, at ANY time wanted to do it, then he would not have done it. The pure devotee wants to carry out Krishna’s plan, no matter what personal inconvenience it may cause. Srila Prabhupada must have decided, at a certain point, that he wanted to take sannyas to please his spiritual master, despite whatever initial reservations he may have had. So I do not accept this as proof that the spiritual master sometimes does the opposite of what he wants to do, or acts deliberately to bring about a situation counter to what he intended, desired, wanted etc. (If that's what you are trying to say).
