Guest guest
Dear List An analogy from maths may help some If y = 3x + 4 we can say dy/dx = 3 but if we know that dy/dx = 3 we do not know that y =3x + 4 ( it may be 3x + 5 ) So post event analysis is inadequate. so similarly we cannot say because such and such happened therefore Saturn must be transitting the 8th in the US chart ( not to discount the Sag chart ) the correct chart in the hands of a capable astrologer will produce good predictions If the predictions are out then we cannot conclude the chart is wrong it may be that the astrologer is incompetent. If one wants to claim he/ she is a capable astrologer with the correct US chart then it needs to be demonstrated with correct prediction. There is a method called reverse prediction popularised by Ron Grimes ( blogginator.com) that gives a method by which potential charts can be more objectively evaluated. Hope this helps Nicholas
