Human flaw

Dear astrologers.

Some months ago I had emphasised that saturn in cancer

brings miseries not only due to natural calamities, but due to governments'

apathy and insensitive nature also. Famines, riots and rebellions, etc also add

to the problems.

Katrina hurricane and Mumbai floods are not first of their kinds of

happenings. Even in the past, we humans have been facing such furies of nature,

but were always prepared and accepted the possibilities of such calamities

happening in future.

A modern outlook and overconfidence about our control over nature's

forces has caused us to close our eyes to future calamites. In Mumbai, the

floodings took place not due to torrential rains but due the fact that the

outlet of flood waters to sea, Mithi River, had been encroached upon over the

years and a big shopping mall and an office complex now stands over it.

Same has been found to be the case in most incidents of floodings in

city areas all over the world. Someone permitted the construction of the

building complex over Mithi river and over years the importance of that small

dry river bed was forgotten.

Nowadays, earthquakes kill more people than before. Multistoried poorly

constructed buildings, congested areas, and overcrowded city spaces are the

real causes of deaths not the quakes themselves.

Man is a part of nature, not superior to nature. The sooner we accept

this fact, the better for us.
