Guest guest
Namaste Amit, Most us here are not sanyassis. We all have jobs and families to attend to. As such, we need to balance both the inner and outer life as you have mentioned. For this type of lifestyle, we are better off to practice Karma Yoga. According to the Bhagavad Gita, it is more admirable than being a renunciate. The practice of meditation can help maintain the bliss or silence of the inner life while in the midst of activity. We should keep our priorities in mind. That is to maintain that bliss first and the rest of our activities will follow suit. In other words, we as individuals have the power to influence the environment through our bliss. We should not be influenced by the environment to determine our state of inner being. The pursuit of the higher levels of consiousness gives us the freedom that humans are inherently entitled to. Unfortunately, most people today are still ignorant of the human potential. This is the reason why we see much suffering in forms of war, poverty, drug addiction, and desperation. We encourage you to maintain your meditation practice. If you do, you will be rewarded in both material and spiritual matters.
