Sthira Karaka are used only for Ayurdaya of the respective relations. Chara Karaka are used for Phalita Jyotisha along with the Naisargika Karaka. I have given a lot of details in the translation of Upadesa Sutra of Maharishi Jaimini. Guest guest
Ayurdaya refers to the Longevity calculations including the Ayur Dasa like Shoola Dasa, Navamsa Dasa etc whereas Phalita Jyotisha refers to the results in this life. These are separate aspects and need separate treatment.
