Tripod Of Life - Speed of Planets for Selection?

Dear Narasimha,

 

[before I go further, please advise if my theory about WHY Sun is chosen for

Maha, Moon for Antar, Lagna for Pratyantar is correct -]

 

[that is...Maha is slowest/Longest and Sun is the Slowest of the 3 Grahas in

Movement, similarly Ascendant is the Fastest, and therefore is used as

Reference for the Fastest Dasa (Pratyantar) - with Moon of Medium Transit Speed

compared to Sun and Lagna taking the Reference Point for Antars????]

 

[Just a theory - shoot me if I'm wrong, but I love speculating on the Selection Process!]

 

[And do let me know if I'm wrong or right on it.]

Many thanks for clarifying my original questions on "Tripods" - I have gone

through Both your Archived Posts, and now understand your Pointers about

Calculation NOT being altered, but only the Judgement Reference Point changing

for each Part of the Dasa-Bhukti-Pratyantar.

If we take the "Tripod" theory, my Rahu-Ketu-Ketu-Ketu is commencing on

11-December-99 - I have been advised that it is due to my Ketu sitting in 10th

House in Rasi why I am continuously changing Jobs this Year (although Rahu-Ketu

is not active until December '99) - a "headless chicken running around", if you

like!

 

So - the onset of Rahu-Ketu-Ketu should be this (see below)?

 

1) MahaDasa = Rahu - is in Sagittarius in NINTH House from Sun (Sun being in

8th in Both Rasi and Navamsa) - is this somewaht religious (Rahu being in

Jupiter's sign, and in 9th House of Religion)? What is the effect of this

MahaDasa?

 

 

2) AntarDasa = Ketu - is in Gemini in TENTH House from Moon (Moon being in

1st in Rasi) - does this indicate a good or bad time for Career (10th House)?

 

 

3) PratyantarDasa = Ketu - is in Gemini in TENTH House from Ascendant -

again, what does this Bode for Career?

 

 

Finally, what will be the Result of Such a Maha-Antar-Pratyantar Dasa?

 

 

For is it not true that both Rahu-Ketu-Ketu and Ketu-Rahu-Rahu Periods are

extremely Karmic periods, and as such unchangeable (for better or worse)??

 

The reason I'm asking is Astrologers here have said that as Far as Career and

Finance is concerned, Rahu-Ketu-Ketu onset will give a big Lift with assisting

in these areas - but

in this Rahu-Mercury-Saturn Period, I have been leaving Job after Job, due to feeling a

severe lack of identity / identity crisis - is Ketu doing this, or is

Rahu-Mercury's ending doing this?

 

They have also hinted that Marriage is possible in Rahu-Ketu (I guess as Ketu is

in 7th House in Navamsa, and is in 7th from UpaPada [sagittarius] in Rasi too).

Is that correct?

======= Dear Sanjay, I came across this Extremely intriguing Instruction when

running through some older GJ List Postings, kindly provided by a List Member

to me. Please could you elaborate on this - if I am right -You misunderstood

it. You find Vimsottari dasa from Moon only, but use Sun, Moon and lagna as

reference points (for finding houses etc) when analyzing dasas, antardasas and

pratyantardasas. The way you compute dasas, antardasas etc does not change.

This principle only gives a way to interpret them. When interpreting a dasa,

take Sun as the reference (as lagna) and analyze the position of dasa lord.

When interpreting an antardasa, take Moon as the reference (as lagna) and

analyze the position of dasa lord. When interpreting a pratyantardasa, take

lagna as the reference and analyze the position of dasa lord. Read the
