Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste Solai,

Thanks for your exercise. My replies are very much straight forward.

1.Prepare the Rasi and Navamsa chakra or chart for the following

Nakshatra pada information:

Ascdt - Aasresha - 3rd pada

Sun - Anuradha - 1st pada

Moon - Uttarashada - 3rd pada

Mars - Poorva Phalguni - 1st pada

Mercury - Anuradha - 3rd pada

Jupiter ® -Rohini - 2nd pada

Venus -Poorvashada - 3rd pada

Saturn -Aasresha - 2nd pada

Rahu -Moola - 4 pada

Ketu -Aardra - 2 pada

Rasi

----

Asc & Saturn in Cancer

Mars in Leo

Mercury & Sun in Scorpio

Venus & Rahu in Saggitaraus

Moon in Capricorn

Jupiter ® in Taurus

Ketu in Gemini

Navamsa

--------

Asc & Moon in Aquarius

Jupiter ® in Taurus

Rahu in Cancer

Sun & Mars in Leo

Venus & Mercury in Libra

Saturn & Ketu in Capricorn

2.List the corresponding Nakshatra padas which will fall in the same

Navamsa of the above planets

Following are the Nakshtra pada of the planets:

Sun: 1st Pada of Anuradha, Purva ashada, Dhanista,Uttara bhadra,

Bharani,Mrigshira,pushyami, Purva phalguni & Chitta.

Moon: 3rd pada of Uttarashada,Satabhisam, Revati,Aridra,Aslesha,Uttara

phalguni,Swati and Jyesta.

Mar:1st pada of

Purva phalguni,Chitra,Anuradha,Purva ashada, Dhanista,Uttara bhadra,

Bharani,Mrigshira & Pushyami.

Mer: 3rd pada of

Anuradha,Dhanista,Uttara bhadra, Bharani,Mrigshira,pushyami, Purva

phalguni & Chitta.

Jup: 2nd pada of

Rohini,Punarvasu,Makha,Hasta,Visakha,Moola, Shrawan,Poorva Bhadrapada

& Ashwini.

Ven: 3rd pada of

Poorvaashada, Dhanista,Uttara bhadra, Bharani,Mrigshira,

Pushyami,Purva phalguni,Chitra & Anuradha.

Sat: 2nd pada of

Aslresha,U.phalguni,Swati,Jyesta,Uttarashada,Satabhisham,Revati,Kritti

ka & Ardra.

Rah: 4th pada of Moola,Shrawan,Poorva Bhadrapada,

Ashwini,Rohini,Punarvasu,Makha,Hasta & Visakha.

Ketu: 2th pada of Ardra,Aslesha,Uttara

phalguni,Swati,Jyesta,Uttarashada,Satabhisam & Revati.

Every 12th Nakshatra pada returns the planet to the same navamsa.

3.What are the padas which will give Vargottama status?

A planet is vargottam if it is placed in the same sign in both Rasi &

Navamsa

So the following 'Padas' will result in Vargottama

1st pada of Ashwini,Purva Phalguni and Uttara ashadha.

2nd pada of Rohini,Chitta and Uttara ashadha.

3rd pada of Punarvasu,Chitta ,Ardra and Satabhisham.

4th pada of Punarvasu,Anuradha,Jyesta and Revati.

Starting with Ashwini(pada 1)every 12th nakshatra pada gives a

vargottama position.

Please let me know of my errors.

Regards.

A question:

To derive navamsa, we take the 1st, 9th and 5th for moveable, fixed and

dual rasis. It makes sense for dharmamsa to be based on the dharma

trikona. But why not 1st, 5th and 9th respectively?

1) Prepare the rasi/navamsa chart for the following:

Plt Pada Rasi Navamsa

-------------------------

Asc Asl 3 Cn Aq

Su Anu 1 Sc Le

Mo USh 3 Cp Aq

Ma PPh 1 Le Le

Me Anu 3 Sc Li

JuR Roh 2 Ta Ta

Ve PSh 3 Sg Li

Sa Asl 2 Cn Cp

Rh Moo 4 Sg Cn

Ke Ari 2 Ge Cp

2) List the nakshatra padas which will fall in each navamsa.

Ar Asw 1 Roh 1 Pun 1 Mag 1 Has 1 Vis 1 Moo 1 Sra 1 PBh 1

Ta Asw 2 Roh 2 Pun 2 Mag 2 Has 2 Vis 2 Moo 2 Sra 2 PBh 2

Ge Asw 3 Roh 3 Pun 3 Mag 3 Has 3 Vis 3 Moo 3 Sra 3 PBh 3

Cn Asw 4 Roh 4 Pun 4 Mag 4 Has 4 Vis 4 Moo 4 Sra 4 PBh 4

Le Bha 1 Mri 1 Pus 1 PPh 1 Chi 1 Anu 1 PSh 1 Dha 1 UBh 1

Vi Bha 2 Mri 2 Pus 2 PPh 2 Chi 2 Anu 2 PSh 2 Dha 2 UBh 2

Li Bha 3 Mri 3 Pus 3 PPh 3 Chi 3 Anu 3 PSh 3 Dha 3 UBh 3

Sc Bha 4 Mri 4 Pus 4 PPh 4 Chi 4 Anu 4 PSh 4 Dha 4 UBh 4

Sg Kri 1 Ari 1 Asl 1 UPh 1 Swa 1 Jye 1 USh 1 Sat 1 Rev 1

Cp Kri 2 Ari 2 Asl 2 UPh 2 Swa 2 Jye 2 USh 2 Sat 2 Rev 2

Aq Kri 3 Ari 3 Asl 3 UPh 3 Swa 3 Jye 3 Ush 3 Sat 3 Rev 3

Pi Kri 4 Ari 4 Asl 4 Uph 4 Swa 4 Jye 4 Ush 4 Sat 4 Rev 4

This shows that Navamsa is a continuous progression of Rasi.

3) List the padas which give vargottama.

Ar Asw 1

Ge Pun 3

Cn Pun 4

Le PPh 1

Vi Chi 2

Li Chi 3

Sc Anu 4

Sg Ush 1

Cp Ush 2

Aq Sat 3

This corresponds to the diagonal from the table above.
