Guest guest
Namaste, Reading Sanjay's book COVA ( page 6-10) the conversation on starting Vimshottari from places other than the Janma Lagna is discussed: e.g. Vimshottari from 4th, 5th and 8th Nakshatra from Chandra Lagna. The dasa from the 4th star = Kshema From 5th star = Utpanna and from 8th star = Adhana. These are the 4 possible constellations that can initiate Vimshottari. Yet on page 7, Sanjay clearly states that Vimshottari should start from Lagna or Chandra, which ever is strongerand ignore the 4,5,8th constellations. And, in the BAVA tapes from London ( Sept 2001) , he mentions the 4,5,8th stars ( Nakshatra) as starting points. To this it brings doubt to my understanding:1. What is the final word on this?2. If used, what gives the best results and for what application e.g. 4th and 8th ( chatutasra stars) are for Ayus caluclations. If so then what is the best use of the 5th from Janma Nakshatra? ! Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Frank, Namaste. What is the final word on this? My understanding is that for phalita matters you should consider the strongest between Lagna, Chanda and Utpanna stars. There's special rules for strength here. But if the other two are not significantly stronger than the Moon's Naksatra, then you can stay with that. For Ayur matters, The Moon's the 4th, the 5th and 8th Naksatra may all be considered, and the Dsas compared for results. 2. If used, what gives the best results and for what application e.g. 4th and 8th ( chatutasra stars) are for Ayus caluclations. If so then what is the best use of the 5th from Janma Nakshatra? This is the extent that I could add to this. You can pout more questions on Vedic Astrology list.
