Guest guest
OHM SHRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAH JAYA JAGANNATHA Namaste Frank, Gurudeva Pt.Sanjay has clarified this that Rasi drishti should be considered primarily and it is permanent. Whereas, graha drishti is secondary and it is variable depending on the desire of the planets involved. We will see more about this when we come to the lesson on signs. Thanks Solai Kannan Frank in Austin [fschmidt (AT) austin (DOT) rr.com]Sunday, November 04, 2001 1:28 AMTo: sjvcSubject: [sjvc] Jaimini and Rasi Dristi Namaste, When reading Jaimini ( Chap III, Quarter 2) the sutra's discuss the formation of Raj Yogas ( association of Pik and AK or 1 house and 5th house)… Jaimini discusses the aspects of these lords on the the Lagna or Lagnamasa. Now, Jamini is typically Rasi dristi oriented [based upon Chapt I, Quarter 1]. So, for the instructions given ( page 245) should I assume ONLY Rasi Dristi apply and GrahaDristi does NOT to form the yogas discussed i.e. Raj Yoga and Maharaja Yoga? Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Frank, Namaste. Namaste, When reading Jaimini ( Chap III, Quarter 2) the sutra's discuss the formation of Raj Yogas ( association of Pik and AK or 1 house and 5th house)… Jaimini discusses the aspects of these lords on the the Lagna or Lagnamasa. My understanding is that if there is only Graha Dristi between the planets forming the yoga, the effect is unsure, because Graha Dristi expresses the desire, but not necessarily the possibility to realise it. Therefore in this case you should look for more proof, i.e. other Raja-yogas, Karakas, D-charets etc. Actually a single Raja yoga in a chart is not very much. Successful and famous people usually have several srtongRaja-yogas that will provide the expected results. You can experiment with the example charts that I've provided. But please remember that you shouldn't miss any details in such a reading. Maybe you take that a sertain effect is given by a certain Raja-yoga through Graha Dristi noticed by you, but maybe in actuality another Raja-yoga is aslo present that you may not notice, and it will give the effect. This can be assessed through Dasas, especially Lagna Kendradi Rasi and Graha Dasa, which will indicate the time when the results of certain yogas will fructify. So if the Dasa/Bhukti indicates the planets/Rasis involved in the yoga found by you, then you can think that it was actually the one giving the effect.
