Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear Dilip, Namaste. OM SRI GURAVE NAMAH ------------- Respected Gouranga Das Prabhu Hare Krishna Will you please let me know why jyotish is known as a Divya Vignan- a Divine science? It is even heard that deep study and engagement in Jyotish may give God Realization ? Is it true ? If so, do you know any instances of it ? Please enlighten me. Jyotish is one of the six Vedangas, or auxiliary writings to the 4 Vedas. Of the Angas (or limbs) of the Vedas, Jyotish is the eyes, with which you see the goal of the Vedas, Krishna. Jyotish may in fact help you to appreciate God's power more, because all the Grashas are incarnations of Vaasudeva. But direct spiritual practices should not be disregarded.
