Here are my answers on lesson 3.

1. Which Graha should be given the

over-lordship of this twelve-fold division or the twelve signs of the

zodiac and why?

 

Sun is the Leader of the planets , the cause of Creation, the

source of light in our zodiac.Sun is the reason for existence of

living beings.

It is therefore the natural choice for the overlordship of this zodiac.

All other planets only reflect the light they receive from the Sun.

2.Make a schematic representation of

the Earth, Bha-Chakra with its 12 spokes and mark out the areas of Nara

and Narayana

The zodiac with the seven grahas as perceived from the

central axis of the Earth, has a circle of 360 degrees where the

radius is infinite.The finite radius or limit that affects the lives of

mortals living on Earth is defined by Saptama Dweepa or the area

traversed by Saturn in its revolution.

Nara signifies the finite, hence, the area traversed by Saturn is the

area of Nara and the rest,beyond the area traversed by Saturn is that of

Narayana, the infinite.

Bha-chakra with its 12 spokes is centred in the area traversed by Saturn

and divides this area in 12 equal parts of 30 degrees each signifying 12

signs starting with zero degrees of Aries.
