Guest guest
Pranaams Solaiji,Gurus of SJVC,fellow students. Dear Solaiji, Thank you for your evaluation of my attempt to answer assignment no.2. I copy your remarks below. 26. Vivek Shetty:- My applogize for overlooking your answer. Your quoted stories are nice. Answer 2: The question is not to be understood like this. As you said, God is here very nearer to you. But, how do you realize that? What steps we have taken to come to such realisation is the question? Suppose, if we are in deep thought we may not realize if someone approach us. Similarly, we are covered by the umpteen mayas. Breaking this maya and realizing the God is what meant by closer. You apologized for having overlooked my post 1st time round, but it was entirely my fault- having missed mentioning the subject in the mail. Anyway you raised some important points in your evaluation, I will try to clarify. I am afraid it may sound like me trying to teach whereas I am in the list to learn, please take it as clarification only and nothing more. The answer I posted was very disjointed and I am trying to join it. The definition of Truth was given as the unchanging principle in this ever-changing world. What is it that is experiencing the changes but itself remains unchanged? It is the sense of being present which has remained unchanged as far as I can remember. The Physical has changed, the mind & its contents change constantly. The world is changing each moment; the image of myself is constantly changing. Emotions are changing each moment, but the sense of “Being” is constant throughout. It is in this constant feeling of being present that I take refuge and use it as a springboard to launch into the exploration of “IT” and the 1st story was meant to illustrate this. The 2nd story was to show that this sense of being has no dimensions, is not subject to causations of time & space and can never be pointed at (that which can be pointed at cannot be it). Hence we can say that it is nothing- it cannot be a thing. ‘This’ sense of BEINGNESS is always ‘Here’ and ‘Now’. For the past year I could understand that there is no coming nearer or going away from ‘IT’. This was what I wanted to convey in my answer. Thanking you again, Sincerely yours Vivek. -- ________________ Your favorite stores, helpful shopping tools and great gift ideas.
