Guest guest
hare krisna ! guruji, when i joined sjvc classes, it had already begun, i am sorry to post lesson 1 so late. below are the answers i have the answers in part 1 & part 2, because it does not allow more than 3 images (images are big) as attachment. i have used B. V Raman's book & an atlas for reference for answers i have not downloaded the images from any site, the images are scanned from an atlas (black & white) i have used the colors of my choice. and labbled them. this is how i understand seasons.... 1. Explain the changing of the seasons and its connection with the above mentioned astronomical factors. there are 6 seasons, vasanta, greeshma, varsha, sarat, hemantha, sisira. planets rotate (takes 24 hrs for one rotation) on their own axis (bhramana) from west to east causing day & night. planets also revolve (takes one year for one revolution) around the sun (bhagana) causing seasons. i request u to see the image seasons.jpg, when the sun enters cancer it is dakshinayana, it moves in southern direction. when sun enters makara it is Uttarayana, the sun moves in northerly direction. 3. Parasara mentions two classes of heavenly bodies: the moeving and non-moving ones. Please explain, what will be the difference between their roles in the astrological interpretation. two classes of heavenly bodies are stars (nakshatras) and planets (grahas) stars are fixed in their place & have no movement, therefore it helps in selecting an arbitary point in the skies for calculations. planets have movement, differ in size & velocities. please do correct me if i am wrong. jothi hare krisna !
