There are some days of the year when the Sun either doesn’t rise or set above certain parts of the globe. Please explain this phenomenon. the sun during his northely course, he has a north declination, duration of days is longer than night in north latitudes, ( he is visible for a longer period in north latitudes.) duration of days is shorter than night in south latitudes. during his southerly course , he has south declination, the duration of days is longer than nights in south latitudes. duration of nights is longer than days in northen latitutes. see images 1.jpg & 3.jpg Equinoctial points ( the celestial equator -- vishvarekaha & ecliptic intersect each other at 2 points) twice a year the sun crosses the equator, on these days duration of day & night will be equal all over the world. see image 5.jpg & 2.jpg please do correct me if i am wrong. jothi hare krisna !
