1. Which graha should be given the over-lordship of the twelve-fold

division of the zodiac and why?

 

The Sun, as the ruler of all the planets, is the lord of the bha-chakra

also. The Sun is the source of all life on this planet and is at the center

of the solar system around which all the other planets revolve. Among the

planets the Sun is the only one which produces it's own energy/light, while

all other planets merely reflect the light of the Sun. The Sun is the

natural significator of the soul. In several vedic texts, the Sun is also

referred to as the King of all planets.

 

2. Make a schematic representation of the Earth, Bha-Chakra with it's

twelve spokes and mark out the areas of Nara and Narayana.

 

The Earth is at the center of the Bha-Chakra with the twelve spokes

emanating from it dividing the zodiac into the twelve signs. Nara is the

finite region, whose limit is the orbit of Saturn. Narayana is the infinite

and thus encompasses the whole of the universe including the region of

Nara. Thus both the inside and the outside of the Bha-Chakra together form

the area of Narayana.
