Hare Krsna,

Jaya Jaghanatha!

Q1: Because of the declination and being the Ecliptic a curved line. As soon

as the earth comes to the closest part near sun, it is summer, which the

summer solstice also will happen, and when the far distance happens, the

winter comes, which the winter solstice also will happen and between them,

we have spring when the sun starts moving to the northern part. In the

opposite side, we have autumn, when the sun is start moving to the southest

part above the hemisphere.

Q2: Because of the declination and because the shape of the earth is a

hemisphere. During the time between vernal equinoxe and autumn equinoxe,

when the sun is above northern part of hemisphere, in the South Pole and

close areas, natives will not observe the sun; they are behind of the area,

which the sun is riesing. Therefore, it is 24 hours a day dark. However, in

the North Pole, which they are exactly in front of the sun, they observe 24

hours a day sun and they have no sun set at this time! This will happen vise

versa for South Pole and North Pole during the time between the autumn

equinoxe and vernal equinoxe.

About Q3 and Q4, unfortunately now I am not able to answer them.

With best regards,

Your servant,

Fariba
