Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah ----------------------- Shri Sanjay and Solai, Namaste. Part –I, Chapter-3 of Vishnupurana follows. Please pardon the inevitable errors. ******************************************************* Vaasudeva Swaroopa ( Form of Vaasudeva) ---------------------- Sage Parasara invoked the blessings of Sage Vasistha and Pulasthya Brahma, spent a few minutes in intense introspection, and meditated on Narayana & the almost impossible task before him. Out of that silence... and straight from his soul sprung an ethereal "Pranava-naada", a unique pulsating paean to the Purusha. “ Maitreya, Sri Mahavishnu is the Source of all things manifest and unmanifest in the Creation and from Him flow birth and death. Because the Universe exists in Him and He exists in the Universe simultaneously, He’s called Vaasudeva. This world that contains you, you yourself, and that you contain within you, all emanate & cease in Him. He’s the Karta (creator), He’s the Bharta (sustainer) and He’s the Kaala (destroyer). He’s the “Aadi- madhya-antha rahitha” One who Was there-Is there-Will be there…. Always. Beyond Space and Time. He’s basically “Avyakta”, Amorphous and Unparametered, and can only be FELT as a gigantic, sweeping sensation that voids all other thoughts. During “Pralaya” (apocalypse) when the entire creation is annihilated, He alone abides as “Kaala Purusha”, a personification of Time - Pure, Permanent and Omnipresent- and is manifested in the eternal cycle of day & night. Hence, Maitreya, do understand that Vaasudeva and Kaala Purusha are One and the Same. He is both the Principle & the Anti-principle manifest in all matter: life & death, past & present, day & night, earth & sky, bleak darkness & bracing light, killing cold & nurturing warmth. He’s All, yet He’s Null. “ Saying thus, Sage Parasara summoned all his strength to document the incredible saga of Creation. End of Chapter-3 ******************************************************* Regards, Lakshmi Check out Shopping and Auctions for all of your unique holiday gifts! Buy at or bid at http://auctions.
