Whether it is determined simply by connection of Nodes and luminarys?

December at 14GE 55

Whether it is determined simply by connection of Nodes and luminarys?Solar

eclipse occurs when the Sun and the Moon conjoin in the proximity ofthe nodes

and lunar eclipse appears when they are in opposition in the samecase. Thus

solar and lunar eclipses will occur at the phases of new moon(amavasya) and

full moon (poornima) respectively, if at the same time thenodes are within 5

degrees of the Sun or Moon. This happens once in everyyear of course, although

the eclipse may be full or partial only or usuallynot even visible from many

parts of the Earth. The angular distance betweenthe luminaries and the nodes

are given by any Jyotish software, although todetermine whether it was full or

partial eclipse or it wasn't visible at allfrom the place of nativity, you

should consult an ephemeris or a specificastronomical software for calculating

the eclipses.While interpreting the chart, the degree of eclipse of course

plays animportant role. It is considered more malefic to be born during the

time ofan eclipse and within the belt of visibility. Another factor is that

thenodes coming close to any of the luminaries in any other moon phase, even

ifnot eclipse, are said to be eclipsing the given luminary. Especially

Rahuconjunction is malefic for both Sun and Moon. This is because the nodes

areso strong that they can overpower even the luminaries and they won't even

beburnt bu the Sun. Rahu-Moon conjunction (Candra-Candala yoga) may givemental

disorders, negative or chaotic thoughts, and demoniac tendencies,also addiction

to drugs, alcohol and immoral sexual behaviour. Rahu-Sunconjunction

(Aditya-Candala) yoga may give physical disorders, ill fame,scandals and

decline in the dharma and duties of the native. On the otherhand, Ketu's

conjunction with the luminaries I wouldn't consider so bad, atleast not for

spiritual significations. Moon-Ketu may give a detached mind,an introspective

philosopher, although the native may become eccentric,unconventional, and

whimsical as well. Sun-Ketu may also make the nativeidealistic, philantrophic,

spiritual, although he may alos be liable toinflammations, Pitta disorders and
