Guest guest
Namste Solai, One elementary doubt from the Planets lesson. It’s mentioned that both Rahu & Ketu have tamoguna. Aren’t they basically opposed to each other? And, doesn’t Rahu seem inclined more towards “rajas”, what with his pronounced preference for material pleasures? If each planet is deemed to be a combination of two “guna” as given in the following chart, would it be more meaningful? Sattwa Rajas Tamas + Sattwa Jupiter Venus Ketu + Rajas Sun Mercury Mars + Tamas Moon Rahu Saturn This chart is based on the premise that the ancient people had an amazing sense of symmetry, as is evidenced by their philosophy & architecture. I feel that the innate strength & enduring relevance of their creations is largely due to this “balance”. Otherwise, can we still get to experience those marvels despite repeated onslaughts of time, nature and man? I know my infinite capacity for making errors. Waiting for your corrections. Guest guest
Dear Lakshmi Because they are always opposed to each other they are of Tamo guna. The nature of that Guna is to oppose to have strife to fight and cause havoc. Jupiter does not oppose anyone unless.. So, primarily guru is Satva Guna.
