respected jyotishyas,

 

There is a " STATE LEVEL THIRD ASTROLOGERS CONFERENCE

" for two days at mysore. on 27th & 28th.

 

Astrologers (200 - 300) from karnataka were present,

there were 12- 15 guests, who spoke about astrology.

 

all the discussions & speach was in kannada & too

fast, here i have put in a few words of which i could

follow.

One among them was SMT GAYATRI devi vasudev,

(Astrological magazine). she spoke about "quality of

time" & "effects on human".

she compared astrology to sour grapes, & modern

science to the fox, narrating the story of the "FOX &

THE GRAPES".

she also spoke how important "intutive power" is for

an astrologer.

another person spoke about -- "moon is important for

frutification of any yoga, because it rules the mind "

A sloka was quoted about "Samudra manthana -- birth of

rahu & ketu"

 

"Ardha chandra............."

one more person, R.N Shastry (Lawer) spoke about the

philosophical mind

 

by - varahamihira -- "Karma dhitam.............."

he also said "ASTROLOGY IS NOT ONLY A SCIENCE, BUT

SCIENCE OF ALL SCIENCE"

he explained the exaltation of Sun

 

Sun is exalted in Aries 10 dg -- Ashwini --- ketu

(ruler)

Atma karaka sun is placed in Moksha karaka's star

therefore the sun is exaled

Sun is debilitated in Tula 10 dg -- Swati --- Rahu

(ruler)

 

In Sanskrit -- Amavasya -- Ama (together) + vasya

(stay)

why sun is a planet & not a star.

he mentioned the Trishanku & Jaladhi (Nakshatras)

one person quoted some shlokas from the Rigveda

"Chaturbhihi chakram Navadhincha ................"

"Asya vamana paritasya bhrata..............."

"Aavaha parena...... devasya sadhane...." (about

sunspots)

"sun never sets, never rises "

one jyothishya spoke questioned

"who is the inventor of time ?"

"sarve mesha........... sarva...."

venus is a materialistic planet.

quite fast. i try to share what i could grasp.

the exaltation example of sun does make me think.

today too i will be attending the second day's

conference.
