Guest guest
Dear Lakshmi, Some further thoughts. Rahu-Mercury period makes perfect sense for study of astrology. Why? Because you have that very fortuante combination of the ruler of the 10, Mercury, being in the 9th house, the most spiritual house. Hence, your connection now with the gurukula. And, where there is Rahu, there is also Ketu as in influence to your Mercury. Mercury--Ketu gives fine subtle insight to the mind, as Ketu is Moksha karaka. Perhaps we are discovering something about mercury combust influenced by Rahu in that it creates this movement from thing to thing, studying different fields, and frustration. Since we both have that and experience something similar from it. We don't have to be "Great," but we can all complete a field of study and harness our minds and karmas enough to be competent in something and contribute. And we can all make a commitment for the long-term ( thus shortcircuiting Rahu) that comes from the soul, from the heart, that is in the best interest of all beings. And we can associate with Great beings with better karma (i.e., the jyotish gurus) in our work and be directed by them and helped, thus elevating our capacity. It feels to me that your Mercury with its aspects ( Ketu, even Rahu, combustion) gives you a nice path of sharing writing, astrology, spirituality, and related subjects according to your own calling and choice to a fine degree. Forgive me for going out on a limb, but it seems that this parampara would really like having your long-term attention and that your gifts are well shared here. Your Rahu dasa is placing you squarely into the powerful part of your chart, activating the raja yoga of ruler of the 10th in the 9th, activating the 9th house, activating Mercury with its subtlelty in your chart, activating perhaps deep karmic and dharmic energies based on the meanings of Rahu, Ketu, the ninth house, etc. What do you feel about all of this. peace, DAvid
Guest guest
Namaste David and Zoran, Thanks for your inputs. Yes, I do agree that Rahu seems to create waves of turbulence in already volatile Mercury. According to Sanjayji, Rahu is also a karaka for astrology, because he can cast aspects equal to Guru+12th house(reverse). I read in CoVA yesterday that Rahu in the 9th house gives effect in the 42nd year! Perhaps because it's Rahu major running concurrently for me right now, I feel the vibrations all the more potently. Oh, David, by “great” what I meant was not vis-à-vis the world, but vis-à-vis oneself. As you have stated so well, I am amazed by the clarity of purpose of most of the jyotish gurus, especially Sanjayji, who seemed to know at such tender age what they want to become in life and set about systematically to achieve it, undeterred by possible repercussions in other areas. And, look at the contribution and difference he and his li’l band is making! Look at their passion for the task! Now, that’s what I call greatness. It’s as though they have harnessed life & its potential right from the earliest. By the way, has this early awareness anything to do with Rahu in the 2/4th houses? I know Sanjayji has Rahu in the 4th house. What do you feel ? Thanks for your affectionate assurances, David & Zoran. And, yes, I really enjoy being with all of you, because somehow we all seem to be kindred souls sharing a common hunger… Regards, Lakshmi starman72000 <heartflute (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> wrote: Dear Lakshmi, Some further thoughts. Guest guest
Dear Lakshmi, Thank you for such nice words.. What we seem to have in common(some jyotisha Gurus) is Dharmakarmadhipathi Yoga, Me and Sanjay Saraswati Yoga, perhaps others too, I do not know their charts by heart, and of course potent 5th house and their kendras.... What you say about Rahu being a jyotishi, is paritally true, since Rahu would have knowledge of Jyotish due to its 5th aspect, but it may question the Guru. Rahu stands for tremendous research power, but true Guru Gotra comes from Guru alone.. Best wishes, Zoran lakshmi ramesh wrote: The early awareness could also be because Rahu maha dasa comes early in life? Visti & Partha seem to have this.
