Guest guest
om gurave namah------------------------Dear Sailesh, Excellent. I just opened this. There are certain steps to be followed. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Procedure for conducting the informal learning begins with fixing the day of the week or month when the students will meet for discussions and deliberations. This should ideally be a Thursday or a weekend or holiday. The meeting should begin with a meditation session of at least 15 minutes when all should sit FACING EAST with their eyes closed in PADMASANA. The mantra is known to all of you. It is your Ista devata Mantra or just choose "OM"- which is recited mentally till the mind enters the highest level and then the mantra shall dissolve. For a small fraction you will forget your existence in this planet and feel as if the time never existed in your life. This will come after practise and is called Samadhi. With practise this time of forgetting the existence of the body shall increase. 2. Meditation should be done after lighting incense for the Ista devata Sri Jagannath Mahaprabhu. If you do not have a picture of Jagannath, use any other picture of just keep a copy of the Rig veda or Bhagavat gita on the alter in the eastern wall. This alter can be a stool or chair or a Pooja temple etc. 3. After meditation, the class should begin by completely informal discussion. The group leader should be chosen and it is the leaders responsibility to present the topic. After the presentation, others should be free to discuss this and all questions are discussed. Doubts can be posted to this list. Within one month you will see that you remember everything you have read about Jyotish, all slokas will be remembered and then the heart shall dance with the joy of having Yoga with Jagannath.. Blessings to the five (Pancha Pyare..) dear ones.Sanjay RathPS: This may sound strange but I just read the lower part of your letter requesting about meditation lessons. - Shailesh Sanjay Rath Tuesday, February 19, 2002 11:20 PM URGENT: SJVC Group at Hyderabad Sanajy Guru ji, Please respond to this mail - as we would like to start this sunday itself. Sincere Regards, Shailesh Chandra Chadhascchadha (AT) hotmail (DOT) com - Shailesh sjvc Cc: G Satya Sai Ram ; Nitish Arya ; partvinu5 ; lakshmi ramesh Sunday, February 17, 2002 10:17 PM SJVC Group at Hyderabad Respected Guruvar Sanjay ji, As instructed by you, and conveyed by Nandan Chakraborty, we have started the process of setting-up the Hyderabad-group [ shall we call it Hyderabad Chapter of SJVC]. So far we have five participants: Lakhmi Ramesh, Partha, Satya Sai Ram, Nitish Arya and myself. Lakshmi has suggested that we start the meetings this month itself [she said "Maagha maasa" is very auspicious for Surya and hence for jyotish]. I too feel that it would be a good idea. To begin with, I have offered my house for these meetings - and have, perhaps, one meeting per month. If you approve, we would like to hold the first get-together on Feb 24, around 11 am, or 5 pm. We need your suggestions on: 1. when to start the meetings 2. how to start - ie what subjects should we start with; please suggest the subject for the first meeting 3. how should we conduct the meetings. 4. MOST IMPORTANT - please guide us on how to conduct the Meditation at the beginning. We seek your guidance and blessings, Shailesh Chandra Chadhascchadha (AT) hotmail (DOT) com Request to Lakhmi, Partha, Satya Sai Ram & Nitish Arya Please send your contact information and suggestions for topics & timing. Guest guest
Om Gam Ganapathaye Namah I am confused on a very basic question. What do we take as the birth time? the time when the baby's head appears from the womb, when it comes out completely, when it cries first or when the umbilical cord is cut? (Are there any more possibilities?) Could the respected gurus and peers in the list shed light on this? Thanks Jayakrishnan Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com.
