dear sarbaniji & jaiho,

ultimately i could find the book. i am listing below different forms of KSY /

KAY as suggested in the book. the book is written by Dr. Bhojraj Dwivedi,

Jodhpur. as per the book basically there are 12 types of various formations

1. Ananta : it starts from lagna and ends at 7th house. result, difficulties in

1st house matters mainly

2. Kulik: it starts from 2nd and ends at 8th house. result, difficulties in 2nd

house matters mainly

3. Basuki: it starts from 3rd and ends at 9th house. result, difficulties in 3rd

house matters mainly.

4. Shankhapal: it starts from 4th and ends at 10th house. result, difficulties

in 4th house matters mainly

5. Padam: it starts from 5th and ends at 11th house. result, difficulties in 5th

house matters mainly

6. Mahapadam: it starts from 6th and ends at 12th house. result, difficulties in

6th house matters mainly

7. Takshak: it starts from 7th and ends at lagna. result, difficulties in 7th

house matters mainly

8. Karkotak: it starts from 8th and ends at 2nd house. result, difficulties in

8th house matters mainly

9. Shankhachud: it starts from 9th and ends at 3rd house. result, difficulties

in 9th house matters mainly

10. Ghaatak: it starts from 10th and ends at 4th house. result, difficulties in

10th house matters mainly

11. Vishadhar: it starts from 11th and ends at 5th house. result, difficulties

in 11th house matters mainly

12. Shesnaag: it starts from 12th and ends at 6th house. result, difficulties in

12th house matters mainly

by start and end, the author is checking clockwise (for south indian charts) and

taking the house where the empty part of the chart ends, to be the start.

suppose in a chart having lagna in aries, the rahu ketu axis is in

5th(leo):11th(aqua) and all planets are in aqua, pieces, aries etc to leo, then

he is taking aqua to be the start house. if all planets are in leo, virgo, libra

etc to aqua, then he is taking leo to be the start house.

i am not sure if the results will be limited to the above only or the 7th house

from the start also shall get affected equally. in that case there should be

only 6 types of main formation (?). take the case of 1st:7th formation. if in

both the cases 1st and 7th houses are affected - then what should be the

difference in these 2 yogas, depending upon the starting?

for every type, the results varies when the yoga starts from various rashis.

that makes the yoga 12 x 12 = 144 types. what are the variation in the results -

has not been listed in the book.

therefore there shall be 144 types of KSY and 144 types of KAY, making the

variation 288 types of yoga. considering part yogas (when one planet is outside

the rahu ketu axis), the variation becomes 288 x 12 = 3456 types. quite amzing

figure and i myself is confused.

learned list members may please guide further regarding the results of various

types of the yoga formations.

regards,

dasgupta

[sjvc] Rahu/Ketu - dasa/antra

dear list,

after a very concrete discussion on yogas formed by rahu and ketu ......... i

request someone to extend the course of this discussion to rahu/ketu -

dasa/antra results. ........ what are the factors which are to be considered for

predicting results in rahu/ket periods........so far as i know --

1. check for yogas

2. debiliation/exaltation

3. house where rahu/ketu sits in.

4. nakshatra lord

5. dispositor

6. planets conjoined with rahu/ketu.

learned members......pls throw more light on this subject .........i believe

that rahu and ketu are most engimatic grahas and should be analyzed thoroughly.

Dear Dasguptaji,

Thank you for sharing this information. I could not reply earlier as

I was out of town. Does it also give a gradation of these yogas dependant

on their potencies?

dear sarbaniji,

no, there is no gradation given. the author tells that all these yogas are

problematic and cripples one's life and restricts achievements.
