Respected Gurus and friends,

I would like to get your advice on a particular

decision to be taken by me. I am currently doing my

masters in electrical engineering and i might be

defending my thesis in july.although i have plans to

graduate in august, i don't have a job yet and during

the summer(june - august), my advisor(under whom i am

doing my thesis) had offered me a part time job which

involved data processing, the job which i had been

doing for the past 1.5 yrs for him. I got an offer

from another Professor on a challenging project for

the summer and he wants me to work for 40 hrs /week.

The project is an electronic hardware implementation

of a wireless sensor network. I have some work left

for my thesis and i was not sure whether i will be

comfortable working 8 hrs per day for the job and then

coming back home and working for my thesis and

finishing my thesis by June.Clearly this is a case

where i have to know my individual capacity , but

which i am not able to ascertain. So , I have 3

questions and i have also tried to analyse these

questions from a jyotish standpoint.Please guide me in

my understanding and decisions:

 

1)Is it advisable to go for the part-time job to

increase my experience (and also in the area in which

i am searching for a job) ?

Being a Kanya Lagna native, I have the 10th lord Budha

in the 9th house ,Taurus with Jupiter.I am currently

running the Narayana Dasa of Cancer , with the antar

dasa of Aries till June 19th and Taurus Antar Dasa

thereafter. Does the presence of the 10th lord in the

antar dasa sign indicate employment (change)?

 

2) I was asked the date I could join.I chose to join

Thursday, 30th May(I still have the option to decline

the offer).

As I was born in Punarvasu nakshatra, Utarashadha

nakshatra is the siddha nakshatra for my janma

nakshatra and the sign saggitarius has the highest

ashtakavarga bindus in chandra ashtakavarga. Hence, i

chose the day with uttarashadha nakshatra.But,

thursday is ruled by Guru who is also the badhaka

sthanadhipathi for Kanya lagna. In the light of the

above considerations, is Thursday a good day to join

(if at all to join?) or do I have to do some parihara

to Guru before joining?

 

3)As I am not getting a job in the bleak market, is it

advisable to go for a Ph.D? Cancer Mahadasa will end

in 2004 and thereafter i will be running Gemini

mahadasa.Gemini being the 10th house and 2nd from

9th(higher education), it is a maraka for higher

education and hence may not allow higher education.In

fact, Gemini antardasa in Cancer Mahadasa starts from

2003 and even if i plan to start my further studies,

it will be from 2003 and hence the planetary

combinations are not supportive of a formal higher

education.
