Guest guest
|| Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama || Hello Visti, Namaste. Even I would like to attempt this assignment. I hope it is ok. If so, please let me know if I have got my answers right. Assignment ========== 1) List out the Karakas for the following 4th house activities: Mother, Education, House, Lands, Vehicles/luxuries, and Maternal Happines(sukha). Answer ====== I think the Karakas would be as follows: a) Mother - Mother represents love, care and comfort and so does the moon. So, karaka for mother is the moon. b) Education - I am a little confused here. If we are talking about religious studies then perhaps it is Jupiter since Jupiter is the Guru/Teacher. But, Mercury/Budha represents inquisitiveness, logic, science and studying. So, in that case Mercury would be the karaka. So, should we consider Jupiter or Mercury? c) House - Since, Jupiter brings these riches I would say the karaka for this is Jupiter/Guru. d) Lands - The karaka for this again is Jupiter/Guru e) Vehicles/luxuries - I would say Jupiter/Guru. But, is'nt venus also associated with luxuries? f) Maternal happiness - Since, moon represents the mother, the karaka for this is Moon. 2) List the relations of Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Saturn. Answer ====== a) Sun: Moolatrikona is leo. So, 3rd - libra (venus); 6th - capricorn(saturn); 7th - aquarius(saturn); 10th - taurus(venus); 11th - gemini(mercury). So, the result: Friends: moon, mars, jupiter Neutral: mercury Enemies: venus, saturn b) Moon: Moolatrikona is cancer. 3rd - virgo(mercury); 6th - sagittarius(jupiter); 7th - capricorn(saturn); 10th - aries(mars), 11th - taurus(venus). So: Friends: sun Neutral: mercury, jupiter, saturn, mars, venus Enemies: none c) Jupiter: Moolatrikona is sagittarius. So, 3rd - aquarius(saturn); 6th - taurus(venus); 7th - gemini(merc); 10th - virgo(merc); 11th - libra(venus). So: Friends: sun, moon, mars Neutral: saturn, mercury Enemies: venus d) Saturn: Moolatrikona is aquarius. So, 3rd - aries(mars); 6th - cancer(moon); 7th - leo(sun); 10th - scorpio(mars); 11th - sagittarius(jupiter) Friends: mercury, venus Neutral: jupiter Enemies: mars, moon, sun regards, vishwa. ====================================================================== Interested in Sanskrit? Guest guest
Jaya Jagannatha All glories to Sri Krsna Janmastami Dears Jyotishas, please accept my pranams. I have a very interesting chart in my hands, the date of birth is July 16 1970 at 4:20pm 72 e 50 and 18 n 58. TZ:5:30 east of Gmt. The native had a hard first years, but he leaved his country, and worked very hard to get a big fortune(2 lord in the 12).See the yoga in tha 9 house, the nine lord in the first, and the Parivarthana beetwen one and ten lord who is vargottama. He did his fortune in the dasa of venus in the 10 house, and the dispositor of the 2 and 5 lord,he also have Sani in the 6house debilitated,so he can go over the problems in his live with facility. Now he is in the dasa of Sun(2001-07)and will be a very good periode but my question is about the future dasas and the debilitated position of the lords of this dasas,he made a big fortune with 3 planets in debilitation!!!and then will come the dasa of moon, 9 lord debilitated in the 1 and then the dasa of mars ths first lord debilitade in the 9,in some moment the influencie of this planets will show their bad face?or the power of theirs positions is enough proteccion to continue in a life of plenitude. Now for example he is very sad because he had 2 daugthers but he can´t get a son .I give him a muhurtha for conception, but there is another remedy for his problem?.And what kind of puja he should do for this debilitated planets. I´m very hapy to get so nice asociation in this SJVC group.you are so kind.thank you yours Caitanya Candra Das _______________ Charle con sus amigos online usando MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
Dear Visti, Thanks for the response. I am really happy that I am learning a lot. Thanks for correcting my mistakes. Let me now try to intrepret why the karakas are as you mentioned. (I had made several mistakes here... but have now learnt somethings). Please let me know if I am right: 1)The karakas: a)Moon stands for love, care and selfless service. Since mother is a personality with unlimited amount of love, care and service to her family, the karaka for mother is the moon. b)Mercury is fond of studying and is ever inquisitive. He loves to communicate and gain knowledge. So, Mercury is the karaka for education. c)I always thought Ketu stands for renunciation, introvertedness, salvation. Is there a particular reason why Ketu is also a karaka for buildings? d)Mars is the son of the earth. He is a hardworker and loves to toil. He is the cause for activity. Thus, Mars is the karaka for lands. e)Venus is fond of wealth and comforts. He loves to be surrounded by luxurious and expensive articles. Vehicles are also an expensive luxury. So, Venus is the karaka for Vehicles. f)Oh! Is happiness in general governed by Jupiter? I thought that since happiness is an expression of mind, it might have been represented by Moon. Moreover, I translated maternal happiness to be the happiness of the mother. I now understand the reason for Guru being the Karaka. Thanks for correcting me. 2) Relations between planets a) So, my answer for sun was right. Glad, I got at least one right. I will list it again: Friends: moon, mars, jupiter Neutral: mercury Enemies: venus, saturn <Visti>Yup your right, but isn't Cancers Moolatrikona Taurus? b) You are right. The Moolatrikona for the moon is taurus and not cancer. The Moolatrikona is the sign where the planet is duty-bound. Since, Moon loves to serve and cook, she has her duty in the kitchen and dining halls. This is represented by Taurus. So, Taurus is the moolatrikona for Moon. So, the relations for the moon are: Moolatrikona is taurus. 3rd - cancer(moon????); 6th - libra(venus); 7th - scorpio(mars); 10th - aquarius(saturn), 11th - pisces(jupiter). So: Friends: sun, mercury Neutral: jupiter, saturn, mars, venus Enemies: none <Visti>Explain why Mercury is neutral? rest is right. c) I made a mistake here. I am sorry. I will redo for Jupiter again: Moolatrikona is sagittarius. So, 3rd - aquarius(saturn); 6th - taurus(venus); 7th - gemini(merc); 10th - virgo(merc); 11th - libra(venus). So: Friends: sun, moon, mars Neutral: saturn Enemies: mercury, venus d) Seems like I got saturn also right. I will outline the conclusion again: Friends: mercury, venus Neutral: jupiter Enemies: mars, moon, sun regards, vishwa. ====================================================================== Interested in Sanskrit? Guest guest
vyam vedavyasaaya namah Dear Vishwa Comments bellow: Thanks for the response. I am really happy that I am learning a lot. Thanks for correcting my mistakes. Visti: My pleasure. Let me now try to intrepret why the karakas are as you mentioned. (I had made several mistakes here... but have now learnt somethings). Please let me know if I am right:1)The karakas:a)Moon stands for love, care and selfless service. Since mother is a personality with unlimited amount of love, care and service to her family, the karaka for mother is the moon. Visti: If we stick to astrological principles; Moon gets exalted and has Moolatrikona in the Natural 2nd house, hence its her greatest enjoyment and duty to feed/sustain you. As Vishnu has this objective, Moon is always strong in the charts of the Vishnu avatara. b)Mercury is fond of studying and is ever inquisitive. He loves to communicate and gain knowledge. So, Mercury is the karaka for education. Visti: Mercury lords, exalts and has moolatrikona in the 3rd and 6th houses, which are the houses of dhimantah yoga, where intelligence is aquired through communications and close scrutiny. In the 4th, mercury does these things in Primary education. c)I always thought Ketu stands for renunciation, introvertedness, salvation. Is there a particular reason why Ketu is also a karaka for buildings? Visti: Kuja vad Ketu. Check bellow. btw, renunciation is indicated by Saturn, Ketu rules the true spirituality. Autism/introvertedness is also indicated by Ketu btw. d)Mars is the son of the earth. He is a hardworker and loves to toil. He is the cause for activity. Thus, Mars is the karaka for lands. Visti: Mars is the soldier of the chart, and his aspect on the 4th house shows his desire to protect! Hence Mars' wants to protect its family, and it does so by providing lands. We can't protect our family if they live on the street among everyone else, hence Mars provides lands. Now Ketu the brother of Mars, always does things abit better than Mars. Whilst Skanda raced around the world, Ganesh merely walked around his parents(the Sun/Shiva and Moon/Parvati). In case of Lands, Ketu sees that theres no real use of having lands, if spears still can fly through them, hence Ketu provides walls and a roof. Whilst Mars is walking around telling peoeple he's a Brahmachari, Ketu has no need as he's allready sitting down meditating on Vishnu. Mars is red light, and Ketu is Infra Red...etc etc. e)Venus is fond of wealth and comforts. He loves to be surrounded by luxurious and expensive articles. Vehicles are also an expensive luxury. So, Venus is the karaka for Vehicles. Visti: yup.f)Oh! Is happiness in general governed by Jupiter? I thought that since happiness is an expression of mind, it might have been represented by Moon. Moreover, I translated maternal happiness to be the happiness of the mother. I now understand the reason for Guru being the Karaka. Thanks for correcting me. Visti: Some people minds don't express happiness.2) Relations between planetsa) So, my answer for sun was right. Glad, I got at least one right. I will list it again:Friends: moon, mars, jupiterNeutral: mercuryEnemies: venus, saturn<Visti>Yup your right, but isn't Cancers Moolatrikona Taurus?b) You are right. So:Friends: sun, mercuryNeutral: jupiter, saturn, mars, venusEnemies: none Visti: Don't worry, Moon can't be enimical towards itself, just as Venus can't be enimical towards its exaltation sign. <Visti>Explain why Mercury is neutral? rest is right.c) I made a mistake here. I am sorry. I will redo for Jupiter again:Moolatrikona is sagittarius. So, 3rd - aquarius(saturn); 6th - taurus(venus); 7th - gemini(merc); 10th - virgo(merc); 11th - libra(venus). So:Friends: sun, moon, marsNeutral: saturnEnemies: mercury, venus Visti: Good. d) Seems like I got saturn also right. I will outline the conclusion again:Friends: mercury, venusNeutral: jupiterEnemies: mars, moon, sunregards, vishwa.Visti: Good work. I will send a new email with the promissed 'combined' lesson. Best wishes, Visti.
