Guest guest
Dear Gurus, and all my fellow students, My Sa-adhar Pranams. As you can see, I am new to this list. I am confused as to where should I begin. I have started reading the PDF files in the "Files" section. If respected members could shed some light on the path I should take, I will be very grateful. Also, are the recommended books available for online buying anywhere? Thanks, Eswar

Guest guest
Dear Belia and Jagmeethji, Thanks for the help. Although, I have started reading the first lesson, I would like to buy those books Jagmeeth-ji mentioned. Do you recommend all the books Sanjayji has written, or would you like me to start with a specific book? Thank you, Eswar sjvc, "Belia Villafañe" <parameshvari@h...> wrote: > > YOU SHOULD START WITH LESSON ONE, FROM THERE GO ON > > >jagmeet s dheendsa <jsdheendsa@j...> > >sjvc > >sjvc > >CC: sjvc > >Re: [sjvc] Where should I begin? > >Mon, 9 Sep 2002 11:28:57 -0400 > > > >Dear Eswar Ji, > >1)You may try Manorma books(books are shipped from India) payable in > >Dollars or in Rs. if you are in India. > >http://www.vedicweb.com/manorama.htm > >2)Natraj Books from Springfield,Virginia,USA. > >www.natarajbooks.com or www.erols.com/natraj > >Both sellers have most of the books you would like to start with. > >You may like to start with > >1)An integrated approach to vedic astrology by Shri Narasimha Ji > >2)Books by Pandit Sanjay Rath Ji > >3)Brihat Parsara Hora Sastra by Shri GC Sharma or by Late Santhanam. > >All the best to you in your pursuit of the divine knowledge. > >With regards, > >Jagmeet > > > > > _______________ > MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: > http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
Dear Eswar, Your opening message from the List Moderator when you joined sjvc would have given you a list of books to start with. This list recommends Crux of Vedic Astrology (COVA) and Maharishi Jaimini's Upadesa Sutras amongst Sanjayji's works to begin with. I suggest you also buy his Vedic Remedies In Astrology and the Narayana Dasha books. COVA will give you a very precise treatise on astrological principles with detailed study of each bhava. Vedic Remedies deal with the spiritual aspects of jyotish and contains a compendium of mantras which you will find very useful. The Narayana dasha book covers a lot of the fundamental concepts, and is presented in a very simple style. The whole study of Narayana Dasha itself will help you to understand and deal with other dasha systems as well. Sagar in New Delhi has published all these books, so you may wish to get it from them directly if you live in India.
