Dear Sanjay ji and Gurus,

I was accepted as your student in February 2002, as I understood from the

messages below. I've already bought all books, and filled all requested

forms and sent answers for 5 lessons and still have no any response. I'm

performing everyday meditation and recite all received mantras, reading

books and reading all messages from

vedic astrology sjvc and other groups

every day (I'm not accepted to Varahimihira group yeat). Unfortunately, I

have not enough Jyotish knowledge to take part in the groups discussions,

because I think I should have correct knowledge before it.

It was said in February, that Guru will contact me some time later. I

still have no any information about it. Does it mean I'm not qualified for

Jyotish study?

The following information has been compiled to ensure you have the

necessary tools for your studies here at the Sri Jagannath Vedic Center

(SJVC).

 

Here we will cover the basics and emphasize the application of various

principles. You may have read many astrological books and may be familiar

with many astrological terms and methods. So, you might get bored with

first 4 or 5 lessons. Nevertheless, extensive information will be covered

in each of the topics and review is always valuable.

 

We suggest you have the following books.

 

1. Brihat Parashara Hora Shastram by any author.

 

2. Jaimini Upadesa Sutram by Pt.Sanjay Rath

 

3. Crux of Vedic Astrology by Pt.Sanjay Rath

 

4. Vedic astrology - an integrated approach by PVR Narasimha Rao.

 

5. Bagavat Gita - any translation.

 

In case if you do not have these books, please obtain them.

You can access the old archived mails and files of SJVC class from the

SJVC site. If you know the method of using sites,

you can skip the following details. Otherwise, follow the steps given

below to establish the access to site.

3. Another screen will appear with the following message.

 

"Sign in with your ID and password to continue. "

 

If you are a member enter your ID and password. If you are not a

member, there will be link in the left hand side "Sign up Now". Please

click this link and register. Once you finish there, remember your ID and

password and again you come back to this page (Paragraph 3). (If you are

signing up for the first time, during your registration process, you may

be asked to give an alternate email address, there please give your

current email address, in which you are sending and receiving emails from

SJVC. This will help you in going further steps).

 

4. Now, again the same screen as appeared in 2 above will show up with

slightly different wordings.

6. The following screen will appear.

 

"Step 1. Select the email addresses to use in searching for memberships.

We will locate your group memberships using the email addresses listed in

your Account Info. You can select from the list below or add a new

"Add new email address". And follow the instructions to add. After you

added the email address, come back to this screen again. Now your current

egroup access email address will appear and select it. Also Click the

"verify" button nearer to it (if it says so)**

 

Now click continue button. After this it is much simpler.

Once, you finish this registering and linking to ID, you can visit

the following SJVC group site without any problem.

Once, you come in, click the "Files" in the left hand menu and you can get

all the old lessons, birth data and an astronomical software.

 

Further, you can access all the old mails from the message. Plus, you can

post new messages from this site. Whoever has registered with their

private email address, other than web based email like , hotmail,

excite, can use this posting facility if they are away from their email

access. However, you cannot attach a file here. So for attachment, you

have to send or post the mail through your regular email, for example, if

you are using hotmail, login to Hotmail site and from there post the

message with attachment.
