Dear List,

Just came back from a most wonderful trip in India. Big thanx to Sarbani and

Shiv who hosted me the last few days, and Giant xmas-hug to all the people who

made the trip memorable.

 

I just wanted to share a word on Out of Body Experiences.

 

When we experience OBE's, its a detachment of the Body and Mind, in a conscious

state, similar to that occuring at Death.

 

So when Suns transit has a link with the MrityuPada, the native may have such

experiences. Now to see all conscious spiritual experiences, we must look at

the Vimsamsa, which is also a higher division of the 8th house.

 

The ability to detach from our body, should be seen from the weakness of the

Moon(ability of mind to detach) and Lagna lord in Dusthana(showing ability to

detach from body) in Vimsamsa(spiritual experiences).

 

When the ropes between the Mind and Body are loose, the native may experience

such activities, either at own will or by accident.

 

Similarly use the Vimsamsa to see other experiences such as Astral Travel (7th house) and such.

 

I recommend getting the book - Varga Chakras, which was distributed at the

conference, to get a better understanding of the Vimsamsa.
