Dear friends

The following verse from BPHS is interesting as it indicates

abilities of the person. Now in the end there is a reference that

even second house from Karakans has to be seen for the points

mentioned in the verse. Could learned members clarify as to why the

2nd from Karakans.

""Effects of Karakâñú and the 5th from there. If Guru and Candr are

in Karakâñú, or the 5th thereof, the native will be an author. Úukr

will make one an ordinary writer, while Budh will indicate, that the

writing skills are less than those of an ordinary writer. Should Guru

be alone, one will be a knower of everything, be a writer and be

versed in Vedas and Vedanta philosophy, but not an oratorian, or a

grammarian. Man̄gal denotes a logician, Budh a Mimamsaka (follower of =

Karma Mimansa), Úani indicates, that one is dull-witted in the

assembly, Sûrya denotes, that one is a musician, Candr denotes a

follower of Sankhya philosophy (of Maharishi Kapila, who enumerated

25 true principles with emphasis on final bliss) and indicates, that

one is versed in rhetorics and singing and Ketu, or Rahu denotes,

that one is a Jyotishi. Should Guru be related to the positions of

Karakâñú, or the 5th from there, while the Karakâñú is caused by

others than him, the effects, as stated, will effectively come to

pass. ((((((Some say, that the 2nd from Karakâñú should also be

similarly considered))))))))."""

Dear Paratha,

Think of Argala

Also planets in trines to a house are in a position to influence

Also the karakamsa is where AK resides so any planets in trines and

second, etc from will have direct influnce and reveal that person in

a significant way.

Not sure if that was the answer you were looking for
