Respected Gurus & members,

 

Which longitude of Rahu & Ketu is better suited for

predictive purposes –true or mean? In JHL software mean position is given while

software’s like Junior Jyotish are using true positions. N.C. Lahiri in his

Condensed Ephemeris Part 2 (1900-1941) says “ Many of our readers have noticed

that the movement of true Rahu has got astrological effect and have accordingly

requested us to make provision for finding the true longitude of Rahu for years

prior to 1941.”Deepak Kapoor in his book “Astronomy & Mathematical Astrology”

also uses the same method (page 95 example case).

If anyone of you can throw any light, I will be grateful.
