Dear Tridesh,

 

One takes the nature of the Dasa lord. Now your Venus dasa is running and hence

you will be like Venus, learned pundit, shastragna and a compassionate person

(conjunction of moon), the passions will be very pure etc. Your drives as Venus

will be shown by the rasi drstis. It is aspecting forth and tenth houses and

hence you will have a great desire to learn, and have a peaceful home (I think

almost all of us desire that, however your present focus will be that), good

name and fame and a desire to do something special. The most results you will

be getting during this dasa is seen from the Sun. Venus is the 4th and 9th lord

from Sun and is placed in the 2nd house, exalted, showing that this dasa will be

very fruitful for you and shall give you good learning and money.

 

The Badhakesh is more potent than the planets placed in the Badhaka house. So

need not worry. The debilitation of the dispositor makes the exalted planet

considerably weak and the exalted planet doesn't give all the desired results.

 

You need not worry about Maraka too... The marakesh are 2 and 7th lords and the

one who is more afflicted will be dangerous. Morever, an exalted planet

associated with another benefic, without affliction from any malefic would

rarely kill, even if it is a marakesh.

 

One has to superimpose the placement of a planet from the Dasa lord and from the

Lagna to arrive at the right conclusion. If a planet is both in dusthana from

the dasa lord and the Lagna is more likely to cause you more trouble than

otherwise. Moreover we see the results from Lagna in the Pratyantardasa, for

Dasa and Antar, we should use Sun and the Moon as the Lagna for reckoning.

 

One has to be good in basics before touching the dasa. There is no harm is

trying the principles in many charts and seeing it yourself, how it works. Only

with experience, one perfects the timing of events.

Dear Vistiji and group

 

Please help me to understand the vimshottari dasa. The dasa that is currently

running is Venus, which is benefic for Virgo lagna, which is placed in its

exalted house.

 

Pisces is the badhaka house for Virgo lagna. During the Venus dasa how does it

influence the results? If the Badhaka lord is debilitated; will it modify the

results further?

 

Venus is the lord of both the 2nd and 9th houses and is placed in the 7th

house. The 2nd and 7th houses are considered as maraka houses. So can this

dasa give physical problems too?

 

While analyzing the good or bad effects of antar dasas, do the placement of

planets from the lagna or the dasa lord get priority?

 

In this chart mercury is in retrograde, the sun and ketu are in the 6th house

from lagna, Jupiter is debilitated and rahu is in the 12th house. Will these

planets give problems during its antar dasas?

 

Are there any important points to be considered for judging the effects of

planets during the antar dasas?
