Guest guest Posted April 9, 2003 Report Share Posted April 9, 2003 dear list VRA by Guru Sanjay Rath mentions tridev dosha/tridevi dosha when after the birth of three children of the same sex a fourth one is born of the opposite sex. I have no other info on this but it has been been part of folklore in parts of east India. Folklore says that Khana, the daughter-in - law of Varahamihira had endorsed tridevi dosha i.e. a son after three daughters is disastrous for the entire family. but she has said that the opposite makes the parents prosper, i.e. trideva dosha -a daughter after three sons is auspicious.
