would like to introduce you to a great work by Pundit Sanjay Rath - "Vimsottari

and Udu Dasa's". Let us not stop with one dasa system - vimsottari. Let us

understand the entire Parashari system which holds the key to prognostication.

As regards timing of events you may refer to another great work of Pundit

Sanjay Rath - "Crux of Vedic Astrology". i don't think people will have any

doubts in their minds about the efficacy of Vedic Astrology/Jyotish Vidya after

going through these two great works. If you have already studied these two works

and still you have some doubts, you are most welcome to express your doubt in

this forum and the same will be clarified.

Respected Mr. Sanjay Rath, all Gurus and fellow Members,First of all let me

congratulate you for having such an active & responsive group.Though by

profession I am a surgeon, I am an astrologer (and programmer) and a student of

astrology (probably for life time!) with passion for Vedic as well as KP

branches. Few of you might have heard of me through my Astro-Kundali software

which is having many research oriented tools especially in it's KP part and

Vedic transits part.The reason of posting this message is that, I have been

working incessantly to find out the exact basis (which I believe that it must

exist) of the exact dasha sequence pattern for any particular event. Infact I

have a feeling that dashas do have a definite clue for even transiting planets

as most of the time even the transits agree excellently. However I have not

found anywhere the literature (to my knowledge atleast) explaining the

imporatance of "the" sequence of dashas. eg. say an event, marriage occured in

Jupiter Jupiter Rahu dasha. Then I have a feeling that Jupiter at it's 1st

level should have some houses as it's signification and Jupiter at it's 2nd

level should have some significations and Rahu as the 3rd level should have

some other. "That means every planet should have significations depending on

it's level in the dasha." Once working at this type is done then only it will

bring about the correct sense and unanimity in every astrologers predictions.

It is worth noting that the dasha sequence never repeats in 120 years.Before

putting the query to you let me put forth my finding too. Some success I have

got in KP method. The 1st level of dasha lord is mainly asigned to the starlord

of the planet. 2nd level to it's Sub and 3rd level to it's Sub-Sub. This is in

accordance to the fact that the First dasha (at birth) is nothing but Moon's

Star-Lord, Sub & Sub-Sub.If any body has any knowledge, inormation regarding

the way to find out significations of any planet at it's 3 separate levels of

dashas sequence, and he gives his clues graciously, I would be very happy. I

hope atleast this venture will sound exiting!Lastly if anybody from this
