I had tried to find out these terms in some books but only a few of these was

available and that is too not so clear to understand. Plz help me if u can.

Hare Rama Krishna

1. Yuti

- To unite, conjoin.. its a reference to two or more planets in the same rasi.

2. angle

- Refers to the 2 angles of the kendra, namely the 4th and 10th houses from a

sign. A planet in the 4th or 10th from another planet is termed - Paraspara

Karaka or "mutual coworker" and will help the planet give its results.

3. trine

- Trikona or tri as in 3, is a reference to the 3 signs; 1st, 5th and 9th houses from a sign.

4. Drekkna

- Another name for the D3 varga chart, also called Decante and Dreshkana. Some

oppine that this is a name for a very specific D3 chart and not just any.

5. quardant

- Quad, means 4, and refers to the 1st, 10th, 7th and 4th houses from a sign.

6. debilitation

- Also called Neecha Rasi, its the least enjoyable place for a planet, and each

planet has their own place of debilitation. Any classic gives the Neecha rasi's

of all graha's. This is also in the lessons of this list.

7. exaltion

- Ucche Rasi - Opposite of Neecha Rasi, and is the place of greatest enjoyment

for a planet.

8. combustion

- Astangata. Happens when a planets rays towards the earth, are blocked by

being behind the Sun and hence are not visible from the earths position. This

is an astronomical event, and the degrees of combustion vary for each planet.

9. conjunction

- Same as Yuti

10. dispositor

- A westernized term, and abit misleading. It refers to the lord of a sign

containing a planet. i.e. if the lagna lord is in Cancer, then the Moon would

be the lagna lords dispositor, as Moon lords cancer. There are specific terms

for different dispositors and are vital in astrology:

Rasi dispositor: Isha.

Navamsa Dispositor: Amsesha.

Nakshatra dispositor: Jeeva.

Once we go deeper into various dispositors we also modify the name.. i.e. the

Dispositor of Lagna Lord is called: Lagna Pakeesha.

11. yoga karaka

- A planet which confers the blessings of lakshmi (trikona) on the work/power

of Vishnu (Kendra), is called a Yoga Karaka. Some say it only happens when a

planet lords both a kendra and a trikona, however this can be spread to planets

associating/joining with both Kendra's and trikona planets/signs.

Dear Fatima,

Please bear in mind that ANY planet which is linked to both a kendra and a

trikona becomes "Yoga Karaka", or "the one who brings yoga".

Shani lords the 4th and 5th houses from Libra, hence qualifies as Yoga Karaka,

when combust, it will indicate that some worship of the sun will bring the Raja

Yoga, and only when Shiva is happy will this come. Hence during Shani Dasa, or

Dasa's linked to Shani, the Sun must be pacified. Be good to your

father/employer/government official, and you will be rewarded.

The Shadakshari Mantra; "Om Namah Shivaaya" will clear you of the 6 sins, and

make the way for raja yoga.
