Guest guest
Aum Krishna Guru Respected Guruji(s) and dear list, Recently it has come to my attention in several discussions; that many Shishya of our Parampara [i am a shishya myself] have falsely assumed that fasting on the day of Upa Pada is strictly related to one's spouse. If what I remember from Gurudeva Sanjay Rathji's Internet conference [2002], he clearly explained that Upa Pada is also known as Gauna Pada. Furthermore, it is this Gauna Pada that we are trying to cleanse and purify by fasting (or giving) on the day where our Upa Pada [or UL] falls. While it is true that one's spouse is also seen from Upa Pada, that in my humble opinion, is not the sole consideration or importance of Upa Pada in anyone's chart. In my understanding, when one starts fasting on the day of their Upa Pada [day of the planet/ lord of the rasi where Upa Pada is situated in their chart], their troubles decrease, they get better health; as in cure to disease and several other benefits. It has been my practice to first advice Jataka to worship their Ishta Devata [Dharmaamsa of Navamsa] and fast on the day of their Upa Pada. This I believe to be the first remedy for any problems related to the Jataka. Will the respected Guruji(s) and experts at this list correct me if I am wrong? Many thanks in advance. Aum Namo Narayana As always, I servantly remain... Ron Bach
