Our 20th meeting was held on 18.05.03. The same was attended by,

We had discussion on horoscope of a female native who is reportedly troubled by

spirits and actually sees them. We tried to look for the reason. The chart is

attached herewith in jhl4.1 format. We would request learned members to kindly

comment on the same

4th October 1971 at 1pm in Townsville, Queensland, Australia

146E48, 19S16

TZ: 10.00 (east of GMT)

 

1. She left her birth place and went to Saudi for job in April'1999 and came

back to Australia in Sept'2000

2. She started seeing one muslim boy in August 1999 and was engaged on the 21st

October 1999 but the marriage did not ultimately took place.

3. Miscarried a child in April 2000 and then gave birth to a daughter in April

2001 in Australia

4. While in Saudi she had a lot of lucid dreaming with snakes.

5. Arround July'1999, while in Saudi..she started seeing spirits. She tells that

one woman there, who threatened her earlier on account of relationship jealousy

- applied black magic on her.

 

This woman is reported to have very high passion which leads her into various

relations and subsequent troubles. But she is not happy with her own passion

and feels guilty about it. Is it due to her placement of Ke in 7th - who acts

like Mars creating lot of passions and debilated AK Venus - who tries to show

her the correct way? Plz note that Ven is also aspected by Rahu- aflicting Ven

as well as Sun.

 

AK Ven is debilated and in the star of Mars. She left her birth place in

Ke-Ma-Me dasa. Ke is in her 7th house of foreign journey and Ve is in Virgo.

She came back as her Ke-Jup started. Jup is her DK in badhaka sthana. Actually

the main reason for her coming back was disappointment created due to refusal

of the boy to marry her. Religion (karaka Jup) was the main reason for the

muslim boy's refusal. Her AL is in 12th from UL and this was her 1st serious

relationship with intention to marry. Hence rejection by her would be spouse is

clear from the chart.

In rashi, 9th house has rahu aspect-shows problem for 1st child birth. In her

D7, lagna is Le - odd sign. counting in zodiac direction, 5th from Le (Sg) has

Mars...showing medical problems. her miscarriage occured in Ke-Ra-Ve dasa. Ve

is in Mars star. 3rd from Sg is Aq. Lord Sa is in Cp a female rashi. So her 2nd

child was a daughter.

 

Dreaming of snakes:

She has 3 malefics in 2 kendras. It should be a sarpa dosha. Can we confer that

the dreaming of snakes were due to the sarpa dosha? This happened in her Ke-Ra

dasa.

 

Black magic & Preta dosha:

She becomes adept to black magic due to,

1. Ketu and Sat aspecting each other and have connection to 5th house.

2. AL in dual rashi..conjunct with 6L Mer and Ket in 7th behaving like mars (as Ketu is alone)

 

Now her badhaka lord is Mars..who is also aspecting Sat by rashi dristi and Ket

by graha dristi. This constitutes Preta Badha or the native is so haunted by

spirits. Also combination of Ketu & Mars causes Preta dosha as well as

affliction by spirits.

 

It may be note here that 7th house is involved in the dosha..and the dosha got

kick started due to problems of 7th house affairs.

 

Remedy:

Jup aspects Ketu and Rahu+mars all by rashi dristi and Sat by graha dristi. So

it was felt that Jup can give the solution. Jup is in 9th from moon so gem will

not work. Maha Mrityunjaya mantra was suggested for the native to avert the

effect of black magic and haunting by spirits. Mrityunjaya mantra being the

best remedy for such doshas. This mantra must do the needfull also due to the

reason that her ketu dasa is ending and ven dasa would start shortly and venus

is the owner of mrityunjaya mantra. Sun indicates her ista as Shiva. Jup also

indicates Shiva in higher form. So Mrityunjaya mantra will propiciate Jup & Sun

also. Jup is aspecting Ketu. So by propiciating Jup..ketu will get a head and

become ganesha to drive away the spirits.

 

Is the remedy suggested is correct?

 

Please guide us with further valuable comments on the same - from gurus and

other learned members.

I do not suggest gemstones of the Badhakas and hence I said propitiate Mars.

Exalted Mars is like Hanuman and can destroy all evils like it destroyed Lanka.

So give ekashari mantra or trayodasakshari mantra to the person as Mars is

placed in the first house. You can take clues from VRA.

 

Mrityunjaya mantra is good for all as we are born in this mrityu loka with all

the problems for life. However, remedies should also be specific in addition to

the general remedies. Morever, one more good mantra for black majic and such

thing is "Om Namo Narayanaya", which works like fiery sun buring down all

darkness. But propitiate Mars...

will it not increase the effect of mars. Or she should propitiate mars by graha

mantra? Which mantra do you suggest?

 

As per the informations received..just hearing to Mrityunjaya mantra has started showing effect.

of Ketu can put that in bounds.The cancellation of debilitation by Mercury can

I still think that Exalted Mars in the Lagna is the remedy as it can get over

Rahu like Hanuman overpowered Ravana and destroyed his Lanka Nagari. No doubt

that Jupiter is protecting the native. However, don't you think that

propitiating Mars shall fulfil dual purpose, strenthening Jup, as Jupiter's

dispositor is Mars and also Mars is more capable of destroying the sarpas than

the Jupiter as Mars is placed in conjunction to Rahu, exalted (Ruchaka Yoga)

and having higher longitude than Rahu.

foreign land should be examined very carefully. Here they are Ketu dasa Mars

anterdasa in April 1999. Thus Ketu and Mars have to be examined in the chart

for the results of what will follow in the foreign land. Note that both Ketu

and Mars are the lords of the badhak house indicating foreign travel. Further,

Ketu is placed in a Kendra as mars associates/aspects lagna causes Pisacha

badhak. Thus, the trip to foreign land shall bring some serious problem

regarding Pisacha badhak due to Ketu and Mars should be the inference.

 

2. She started seeing one muslim boy in August 1999 and was engaged on the 21st

October 1999 but the marriage did not ultimately took place.[Rath:] Why arn't

the views of the group not given here? The dasa had changed to Ketu dasa Rahu

antardasa and both planets are involved in a sarpa yoga without a break.

Normally sarpa yoga makes a person very sexually inclined and agressive in

sexual activity. both these planets also aspect the darapada A7 indicating that

she will think of marriage as physical contact and will suffer consequently. The

point is that Brihaspati is sitting very strong in the darapada and is also

aspecting the 5th house. So we can see a battle of sorts between Jupiter and

Rahu to have a relationship with her. Now see the raha arudha of Jupiter - Jup

(9) is in Lagna andd is protecting her reputation and name while Jup (12) is in

7th house in Cancer. So Jupiters influence in her personal life is going to be

strong. Also he dominates darapada and put a fight against Rahu. So, she cannot

marry the man she meets in Ketu dasa Rahu antardasa. More so as UL is Libra and

its lord is debilitated and it is Jupiter who gives neechabhanga for Venus, but

this neechabhanga is not present naturally from Guru and Mercury does

neechabhanga i.e. Mercury intervenes on behalf of Juptier. Speak to her and try

to identify these people Jupiter & Mercury while Rahu is identified as the boy

lady was able to do any black magic that afflicted her. What she suffers from

is prarabdha karma and this is due to a past life karma that she carries.

first pregnancy was miscarriage (ask her if this miscarriage was FORCED like say

abortion).

 

2. AL in dual rashi..conjunct with 6L Mer and Ket in 7th behaving like mars (as

Ketu is alone)[Rath:] come off it. Loneliness and depression following

rejection in love can make people see things. Preta badhak is far too serious a

thing and if the affliction actually occurs, then there will be tremendous

violence and some terrible physical conditions that beyond normal description.

Split personality and other traits are noticed. i have witness only one preta

badhak till now and also saw the exorcism. Long time back - durig Sat-Venus

period when I was studying these things.

 

Now her badhaka lord is Mars..who is also aspecting Sat by rashi dristi and Ket

by graha dristi. This constitutes Preta Badha or the native is so haunted by

spirits. Also combination of Ketu & Mars causes Preta dosha as well as

that the 7th house is the cause of the sarpa entangling her in a terrible mess.

During Ketu-Jup she might have contemplated suicide as well. But then its over

now.

dasgupta[Rath:] Very very good and challenging case study. I have seen that

sometimes the groups gets carried away in a particular thread. This is due to

the planetary positions for the day when the meeting was being held. For

example when this chart was being discussed, the Moon was in exact 180 degrees

aspect with Saturn!!!..so i don't blame anyone. The graha are powerful...

 

Sit back sometimes and think about the other alternatives with a silent prayer to Shiva.

Correct me if I am mistaken ... but isin't Sarpa Yoga pacified by

propitiating the *Benefic* which breaks it or which provides relief!!

 

Here, we dont have any benefic in quadrant to break it, however

Jupiter aspects all the malefics causing Sarpa Yopa.

arudha of Jupiter - Jup (9) is in Lagna andd is protecting her

reputation and name while Jup (12) is in 7th house in Cancer. So

Jupiters influence in her personal life is going to be strong. Also

he dominates darapada and put a fight against Rahu. So, she cannot

marry the man she meets in Ketu dasa Rahu antardasa. More so as UL is

Libra and its lord is debilitated and it is Jupiter who gives

neechabhanga for Venus, but this neechabhanga is not present

naturally from Guru and Mercury does neechabhanga i.e. Mercury

intervenes on behalf of Juptier. Speak to her and try to identify

these people Jupiter & Mercury while Rahu is identified as the boy

she met in Ketu-Rahu period.

She tells that one woman there, who threatened her earlier on account

of relationship jealousy - applied black magic on her.

that she had problems and fight with a woman but there is no

indication that that lady was able to do any black magic that

afflicted her. What she suffers from is prarabdha karma and this is

due to a past life karma that she carries.

This is the chart of the daughter and i was talking about this one only. some

comments below. however, have you noticed one thing? now a days lot of mails

are being exchanged on curses / preta badha etc. even sjc, delhi were having

classes on this and we in mumbai - unknowingly, started discussion on this

chart.

 

any perticular planetory combination for this?

Dear Sunil,

If you look at the daughter's chart what strikes you is connection of venus(Lord

of the 5th) to 9th house(by aspect) as in the case of mother. The venus here too

is debilitated in navamsha and so will give those results. Mars afflicted by

Ketu aspects this venus from 12th house, so possibility of strong and strange

sexual drive in the daughter cannot be ruled out.

Moon and Mercury are together with 8th lord Sun and 6th lord Mercury. Mercury is

further afflicted by Rahu being deposited in his house and similar connection of

Buddhipati Venus with his other house the 9th. Also look at connection of

Sat/Jupiter with 5th house here as in the case of the mother.

 

[jk] above all these affliction it has KSY also. Mars with Ket may not break the

yoga....and again mars+ketu

 

Severe mental disturbance coupled with escaping in to imaginary realm cannot be

ruled out here too as in the case of the mother but on a different level.

It is easy to pass on something on to pretadosha or badha, the classic yogas

occur with less frequency than is generally believed. Again for any black magic

to affect one, assuming that the practioner is a master; one has to have done

something really bad. Otherwise it affects the practiotioner him/herself. Here

again strength of mind plays a strong role.

At least this is how I view this matter.You must have observed that I usually do

not prefer to comment on curses and posession by spirits. The reason is , I have

no way of finding out whether what ever prediction I made in that regard is

correct or not. It is too much dependent on what a jatak feels about it than

what might be correct.

This of course does not mean that those who follow this line are wrong. Just

that I do not feel myself expert enough to comment on things that I have not

understoood in their entirety.

About Venus, yes others have also asked on similar lines. The basic principle of

astrology is that a planet that is strong helps where as a planet which is weak

might create problems to the bhava.That is why we say a debilitated shubha

planet will create problems. Venus when strong teaches one how to control

desires and still enjoy life. The ladiy's problems have their genesis in a weak

Venus and I think it should help her than harm. Again remember Venus as

Atmakaraka has very different role and the principles of how a graha is taken

to be atmakaraka will reveal that the planet is usually weak. The reason is

that it is the planet in highest degrees, like here it is in the last 6 degrees

of sign virgo, where being even rasi he is Bal (child) hence the childish

attitude towards sex of this lady. Had it been may be Darakaraka he might have

given more serious attitude towards casual sex. That is why strengthening

atmakaraka should only be done when he becomes a yogakaraka as in the instant

horoscope and not otherwise.

 

[jk] you may be correct on this. we shall request Sanjayji and others to plz

comment on this perticular case.

Dear Chandrashekharji,Pranam, some queries on this chart, as you know I am a

beginner and needs to be corrected.As analysed by you, upon confirmation we got

that the girls mother is a bit neurotic. I think JKda pointed out in another

post, that we had earlier thought that the girl is hallucinating but her

daughter has also now started seeing people in the house and hence her mother

is very scared.I attach the daughters chart too for your perusal.Apart from the

case of black magic JKda had pointed out another dosha of being haunted by

spirits. The current house she is staying in was earlier rented to aboriginals

who are known to be able to access spirits very easily it is said.Sir, you had

pointed out earlier that remedies should be for Venus, my query is would this

give adverse results since her past has been odd kind of sex and its related

problems. So would this strengthening of Ven backfire on her as she is still in

two minds to go back to that kind of lifestyle as now she has her child. But if

she goes back to it then problems always comes in. I presume this is the AK Ven

trying to show her the way.Could you kindly comment on the nature of the coming

Ven dasa.As of now the native has started reading spiritual books after lot of

obstacles, is this how the AK is showing the path, I mean are the results of

debiitation in both natal and navamsha charts. The Mantra Pada, and Ascendant

are severely afflicted with mandi Gulika Kala and Rahu and Vyayamsha yukta.

Venus becoming Atmakaraka is severely afflicted as trines from it in natal

chart are afflicted. Add to it aspect received by Moon lord of the 7th in

3rd(marital problems and change of partners) is again afflicted by aspect of

Mercury and Lord of the 6th Sun.I remember that in 2/8 axis mutual aspect of

Mercury-Moon can lead to loosing money. The problems to dharma sthana by her

opting for liasion with somebody of relogion other than her own indicates that

the yoga is coming through here. Saturn Lagnesh in 5th has rendered first child

as a miscarriage. Again Ketu is making sambandha with Moon being posited in its

house Cancer. Sometimes this indicates mentally compromised persons in family.

Is this the case here? Could you confirm this?> I think this is a case of

severe hallucination as against actual sighting of spirits as claimed by the

lady. She could have severe persecution mania.This is in line with Saturn in

Mars Navamsha being posited in 5th house> The saving grace for this person

loosing her sense of proportion completely is of course Jupiter aspecting
