Guest guest
Dear Brendan, Thank you for your message, I appreciate what you said. I cannot/and will not say that I agree with curriculum proposal, either, but at least there is a recognition of more relevant issue. If your reason for provoking reaction on this major issue /and request for personal response, name calling alike, that I am strongly opposed to- I am always ready to apologize if I make mistake and am not patient enough allowing myself to slip down on that level- I do that by responding to your friendly message/, so if you wanted to call for opinions this way, I must admit that's very original approach. Honestly, other than pointing to potential harm from what I've considered thoughtless organizational move, I've never had neither illusion nor intention 'to save the world'. I feel that everyone should contribute to organization he belongs to, even temporary, and I thought I did just that- out of 1000's on the lists, only 2 had different opinion, so 'who cares'? Majority is not necessarily right, though, but that's unimportant topic in this thread. Thank you for your message again, I share good will with you, and I am sending my sincere best wishes to you, Anna - Bpfeeley (AT) AOL (DOT) COM varahamihira ; Saturday, July 12, 2003 11:01 PM Re: |Sri Varaha| Appointment of new Gurus and Administra... You are a good person and we do not need to go there. My remark 'who cares' was too frivolous and I apologize. I have never been a rebel in this life but have a passion for reform and change and my work with authority has always been in that area. The same applies to my views on politics, religion, education, medicine, war and especially Bush. Why shouldn't we express our views?Sanjay has spoken and has clarified his vision for all of us. We are all here together as souls trying to understand ourselves and it is our destiny to be together. If his vision grows, and it will, it can only help people and the world. This is novel in our present age. But as he says, the age has changed and my bhakti Guru has been saying this since the early 1970's... re the growth of Vedic knowledge and the authentic form of Sanatan Dharma (the eternal Divine religion) in the world after the turn of the century.I know your intentions are good and all communication leads to a better understanding eventhough we have both faltered in our words and shown our weakness and ignorance. This way we learn a deeper respect for each other as long as we don't construct inpenetrable walls and distance.Warm Regards,Brendan Dear Brendan, I think I said what I thought I should 'and saved my soul'. So, go ahead with Jyotish Ministers, Semi-Gods maybe you achieve the goal in making SJC a reputable institution. But this Maya World unfortunately has to agree with that it IS real, otherwise, why bother with anything, But who cares? you said- making everything so 'relative' and unimportant, which are synonyms in this case, until the light of value disappears, fight for title goasts and ego-goasts, and other irrelevancies, that's the surest way to loose the sense of 'What our goal has been once upon a time, if it lives that long. To "educate masses' as you said is TOTALL contradiction to 'Who cares' ? If you don't see that, I'm afraid that our dialog would be impossible, and IMHO would mean that MONOLOG with vivid, colourful, utopistic, contradictory, virtual reality is your chosen way of dealing with this issue. I didn't say you are one who flatters the Guru, I just listed potential evils, and since you asked me, without looking at your chart, just your posts, you are too 'young and rebellious to be Team worker, poor communicator and with problem dealing with any authority so pronounced, that I am sure, no you are definitely not one who flatters, but neither one who is able to clear /his/ foggy/ illusions...I hate giving opinion of this kind, but remember, YOU asked me to, and to please you I am writing this. I don't have any problem with this, I was just concerned if this 'wonderful science' as you said, which is still in it's 'infancy' state in the world, could survive your type of care. Again, I said what I thought was my obligation, in a best way my humble abilities allowed, and this is over for me. I am fully aware of the fact that I cannot do more in this matter, and I am not there any longer. That also means that I won't be responding to any further discussion on this issue. Last thing I want to say is that I do like you, for the same qualities I consider inadequate for achieving the goal so dear to me, you, others, and that is JYOTISH for Life.
