Hi all,

I have a basic doubt. In a bhukthi, what is the

order of antar-dasas? Is it starting from bhukthi

lord and follows in order or does it start from the

dasa lord in all the bhukthis of the corresponding

dasa lord? I read in some books one way and the other

way in some other books . Which is correct?

Please clear my very basic doubt. I appreciate

your help very much. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Krishna Prasad.

Dear Krishna Prasad,

Firstly on the naming convention.

Rishi Parasara used the term in the order of

Dasa, Antar-Dasa, Pratyantar-dasa, Sookshma-Dasa, Praanaantar-dasa

and Deha-Antar dasa. We here at Sri Jagannath Center mostly use the

same.

Regarding the calculation BPHS(Santanam Edition) says

AdAvantardashA pAkapatestatkramato.aparAH |

evaM pratyantarAdau cha kramo GYeyo vichaxaNaiH || Ch 51.2||

2. In every Dasha the first Antar Dasha belongs to the Lord of the

Dasha. Then the further Antar Dashas belong to the other 8 Grahas in

the same order, as followed for the Dashas. The same applies to

Pratyantar Dasha.

Warm Regards

S. Prabhakaran
