Vedic Astrology Workshop

Maynard, MA (Nov 1 & 2, 2003)

Sri Jagannath Centre (SJC), a non-profit organization for Vedic studies, was

founded by Pt. Sanjay Rath. Pt. Rath is a world famous astrologer, author and

teacher from Puri, Orissa. Pt. Rath belongs to a Jyotish parampara (Vedic

astrology tradition) from Puri. His master-disciple succession traces itself

back to Sri Achyutananda Dasa, who was one of the pancha sakhas (five

associates) of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and was a famous astrologer in Orissa a

few centuries ago. SJC is committed to spreading the knowledge of maharshis in

the world. SJC has hundreds of members in many countries all over the world.

Pt. Rath is coming to Boston with his students. He and a few other Jyotish Gurus

from SJC are teaching at a Vedic astrology workshop conducted by SJC at Maynard,

Mass on Nov 1-2, 2003.

This workshop is ideal for those who have a basic understanding of astrology and

know something about rasis, planets and houses, though most of the concepts

covered in the workshop will be covered more or less from the ground level.

Interpretation of dreams (rules culled out from Puranas and some astrological insights into them)

Career predictions using dasamsa chart and dasas

At the workshop, you will also learn about a free Vedic astrology software for

Windows computers, which computes all the charts and dasas mentioned in the

class!

The knowledge shared in the workshop is originally from Puranas and classics

written by Maharshis Parasara and Jaimini and other great astrologers. This

knowledge comes to the teachers at the workshop, from the parampara of Sri

Achyutananda Dasa from Puri, India.
