Guest guest
Krim Dear Jyotishis, Today is Aswayaju Amavasya with the Sun and Moon in Libra. It is the day of worshipping Goddess Kali. The name Kali/Mahakali is derived from Kala or Mahakala. Mahakala being Shiva, Kali or Mahakali is none other than his wife or shakti. At graha level, Mahakala is Saturn. Saturn represents Kali in the scheme of the dasa mahavidyas associated with the nine planets and lagna. The jyotirlinga represented by Saturn is Mahakala, who is worshipped at Ujjain. Saturn gets exalted in the sign of Libra, hence it is significant that Kali is worshipped today in amavasya when the Sun and Moon are in Libra.
