No. Usually planets placed in 8th house loose their kaarakatwa. So Venus in 8th gives sadhu yoga as it gives possibilty to control sexuality. Kalyana Varma in Saaraavalli says 'If Venus is in the 8th, the native will be long-lived, will enjoy incomparable happiness, be very rich, be equal to a king and moment after moment will feel delighted.' Also read CoVA for such details in planet placement. Planets placed in 8th house has a) Dhana(2nd) argala on 7th (spouce). (But note that Venus destroys 12th house from where it's located) b) Sukha(4th) argala on 5th (children, mantra,mental well being,intelligence) c) Labha (11th-gains) argala on 10th (Karma) [i.e retirement wealth) and secondary argala d) mantra(5th) argala on 4th house. e) 8th house argala on lagna.
