Since the subject of gems is being brought up. Can anyone of the many qualified

jyotish pandits here recomend a stone for a malefic venus? I'm a taurus

As a student of Vedic Astrology, I would like to share, what I know. I request

gurus / senior members to correct me, wherever I go wrong.

 

Gems should first be cleansed and then wored on a auspicious day (if possible in

the hora of the lord for which gem is worn). Gems should be worn when the planet

is good in transit and during waxing moon (shukla paksha) period.

 

For e.g. If I have to wear Ruby, I would do the following.

 

I will immerse the ruby ring in rose water on saturday evening in some glass

pot. Next day i.e. sunday I will wash the ring thrice with mixture of Milk,

Ganga Jal and a bit of sugar.

 

Then after worshipping Lord Ganesha, I will recite Gayatri Mantra 11 times and

then recite mantra "Om Ghrini Suryaye Namah" 108 times and then after touching

ruby with my forehead and offering prayers to Sun will wear ruby in right hand

ring finger.

 

The ruby should be worn in Sun's hora (as ruby is associated with sun in this

example). It would be preferred, if sun is exalted or in its mooltrikona sign

at the time of wearing ruby.

Stones are worn in left hand also to decrease the effect of malefic planets

(mostly stones of rahu, ketu I had seen people wearing in left hand)

Also it is not advised to wear anystone in index finger, as it gives rise to

ego. Some people advise wearing yellow sapphire and ruby in index finger for

power, but as per Gurudeva Shri Sanjay Rath Ji's teachings, these gems work

better in ring finger.
