Dear shri Pankaj,

The standard text on the Yogi-Avayogi concept is the Book New

Techniques of Predictions by Sheshadri Iyer Part 1 to 3, Th xerox

of the book is available with the Manorama Occult Publications, New

Delhi for Rs. 400/-. I will explain you the concept in short :

The Yogi point is calculated as follows:

Longitude of Moon + Longitude of Sun + 93degrees 20' = Yogi

Yogi + 180 = Avayogi

See the exact longitude of birth yogi and avayogi and see its

Nakshtra Lord. The Nakshtra Lord of the Birth yogi and avayogi

pointis the yogi and avayogi planet for the concerned horoscope or

jatak. For reckoning the Nakshtra lords the Vimshottari dasa or Udu

Dasa lords are taken. I will give you one example :

Sun 2rasi 4deg 34'

Moon 1rasi 9deg 54' +

(+)PF 3rasi 3deg 20'

Yogi 6rasi 17deg 48'

Sothe yogi point falls in the Swathi Nakshtra so that the Yogi planet

will be Rahu. The reason for adding the 3 3 20 is that the first yoga

named Vishkambha commences with the star Pushyami located at 93deg

20' in the Zodiac. Add 180deg to the yoga point to get the avayogi

planet.

I think this will help you. Sheshadri Iyer was a very gifted person

from South India who has researched on the following:

1.Yogi Avayogi theory

2.Tatwa theory

3.Divisional Charts

4.Dasa interpretations

I hope you will find it interesting.

Yours

Dewavrat Buit
