The

strength of a Yoga depends on its Vaisheshikamsa. This is basically the

planets strength in the various divisions. It is this strength which

differentiates a leader of a municipality from a leader of a country. But,

which Varga’s to use and the question on Arudhas still requires some

work. If you read Päräçara he differentiates between various effects of

Raja Yoga’s depending on the planets Vaisheshikamsa.

Sun

also indicates large global-corporations, and keep in mind that this Sun

is debilitated in 10th house, so the earning no doubt will be

large but will be coming from disasters occuring, say in administration or

the likes. Try using Chaturshiti Sama Dasa, because 10th lord

is in 10th house. Currently Mars Dasa is running until 2009,

and whilst there will be a lot of money, the vipareet raja yoga will not

manifest until Mercury Dasa, as Mars will give effects of Mercury

(communications, internet, etc) whilst Mercury will give results of Mars,

who is causing the Vipareet Raja Yoga with the Sun.

respected members,

I have the

attached chart of a friend. It has some yogas like the 6th lord (Sat) in 8th,

lord of dussthanas in 10th with lagnesh. From the small reading I have done

from Pt Rath's books, these qualify as VRY. In addition to this, Sat is neecha

in 8th but gets neechabhanga rajayoga due to Sun, Mars and Ven being in Kendra

from lagna or moon. Mars is mahayogada as it has drishti on lagna, GL and HL.

The D10 also has a number of planets in own or exaltaion. How do we understand

the strength of these yogas ?

Overall, it

seems the Mars periods look positive for profession. (person works for a big

company in the field of Internet networking, communications) Looking at the

D10, it has Jup, Sun in 10th. Can some of the learned members guide if the

individual will get associated/ form charitable organizations ? Also, from

Sanjay's literature, Sun in 10th in D10 shows strong possiblity of politics.

Any comments on that as well are welcome.

Thanks a lot for the response. Can you please elaborate on the comment that

"mars will give effect of mercury" and vice versa ? Is it because Mars is in

Mercury's sign ? But there is no parivartana here.

Also, will this alter the Bhadra MPY (mercury is in the 10th house in Gemini) ?

When conjunctions

occur, the planets conjoined take on each others characteristics during the Dasa.

Specifically when 3 planets are joined, then the most malefic and most benefic

planet (natural) exchange significations, whilst the one in the middle keeps

his own significance. When 4 planets are joined, we use the same logic.
