Namaste Visti and Members,

I am learning about choosing a mantra according to the Ishta Devata,

Dharma Devata, and listening to one's soul but am confused. I have

Sanjay-ji's book on Vedic Remedies but am further confused. If you

would offer your opinion, I would be grateful.

Jupiter is my Ishta Devata, the Sun is my Dharma Devata, Venus is

Baadhak in both Rasi and Navamsa, yet I've always been pulled to

worship the Goddess. How do I determine what is the best mantra for

me?

My birth data is 23/10/1958; 15:51 (maybe 15:55) EDT; 69 W 53 43 N 47

Blessings to you all,

Julli

Dear Julli, Namaskar

You should add 1 minute to your

birthtime to get Moon and Mercury in the 5th house in the D-20 chart, as the

5th lord is joined Venus. This indicates your love for the devi. However, this

is only your personal like/dislike, and the deity who will give you mukti is

seen from the 12th from karakamsa. This is Sadashiva in your case.

In the parampara we learn that this form is so broad that it is hard to

associate a specific image or form to this… this is the parambrahma which

is beyond sex and form. So start worshipping Samba Sadashiva and go beyond: “Om

BhurBhuvaSvah Sambasadashivaaya Namah”.

Best wishes,
